My thirdgen collection

A lot of people have seen my sig and told me I should get all my cars together for a group picture. Well, I managed to get six of them together. I've got three more but two are parts cars and the the other one is having the front end redone. Some of them are a little dirty but I din't have time to wash all of them.

My girlfriend doesn't have a problem with it at all. Of course, I did have to give her one. Her's isn't in the picture because the front end is being redone. It is a fully loaded black '84 Trans Am that swapped a black '86 Trans Am interior into. The car has a 305 HO and will be a sweet car when it's finished. Actually, if you think this is crazy you should see my basement!!! It's basically a toy store for thirdgen owners.

Ditch five and mod one? I think the white car definitely would be considered a "little" modified. It is my first car and I've had it since '89. It was originally a V6 car but has been swapped over to a 500 horse '68 327. I went way over board on just about everything. I think I have about $26,000 into it and I haven't really started on the interior or much of the suspension.

Actually, the white and silver cars are mine to keep. The other four are for sale. However, when I sell them I'll just buy some more. I usually have at least seven or eight around. It's pretty much like a thirdgen party everyday here.

I have you beat, we have 17 thirdgens as of today sitting at the shop and i should be picking up another two this week on trades. I hope to make it 20 by the end of the month. The only problem is we need to sell them to make a living so sometimes the numbers go down before they go up.
Oh Yea, We also have dealer plates so i can drive any one I want when ever i want. BUt a few are parts cars so I can't drive those Friday I drove the 91 350 Z/28, Saturday the 86 Iroc, Sunday the 90 350 T/A and today I don't know.

Those are all sweet @ss cars! Are you having a problem with cubic inches? I see none of them is bigger than a 327 except one. And I am calling on the 500HP claim. I want dyno sheets to prove your claim

Well, I swapped the 350 into my '85 Trans Am. I've got a 406 on a stand in the garage that will probably be going into it soon. However, I really like my little 327. It has never been on a dyno, however, it was built by one of the best engine builders in the area and he estimated it at no less than 400 horses. It was built almost identical to my friends 350 that dynoed at over 425 hoses. That along with a 150 horse shot of nitrous should definitely add up to at least 500 horses.

Nice shot Denny. I was over his house yesterday and the basement is filled to the roof in 3rd gen parts. Someone should buy those parts off of him so he can have a basement again. And that white car is legit. Still trying get him to bring it to the local crusie spot to **** the Stangs off, but he won't do it.

That blue Trans Am is a really nice car. It just came from North Carolina so it is completely rust free. Even the underbody is rust free. Not only that but the suspension is incredibly tight. It actually handles like a brand new car. It just has a LG4 305 so it's nothing special as far as the engine goes. However, I think the LG4 cars are the best starting points for a build up. I'm selling it for $3500 OBO. It's a car I'd really like to keep because you just can't find cars this solid around here but it needs to go.

Actually, I just have a TON of Camaro and Firebird parts in my basement. Everybody that comes over tells me they feel like a kid in a candy store. Maybe I'll get some pictures and post them anyway.

I didn't realize this was going to turn into a contest. I actually know of someone who has 35 to 40 of them!!! However, if you're in it to make money it's all about how many you've sold not how many you have.

Thanks for the compliment. Actually, my white Firebird looked almost just like yours before it was painted. Well, it was in a lot worse shape than yours. Hopefully one day you are able to turn yours into what you've always hoped for. Nobody ever thought I could bring my car to the level it is today but I guess I proved them wrong.

Well I certainly feel better... I was starting to worry about my own sanity. I've had 8 since 95, 4 of which are still mine, 1 sent to the junkyard, and 2 sold as parts.

Everyone so far has said it is not going to happen to me to. I have many plans for that car. I want to put in a 421 Tri-Pack, 350 tranny,GM 12 bolt with 4:11s and many other mods. I am reaching for high 9s down the strip. He has a Iron Duke now. he also has the 700-R4 tranny with the Level 1 suspension. My T/A has some mods though. Iam guessing 220-230 hp from 190 stock. Then again, I am no dyno expert! LOL I know it isn't much!

ah, denny has cool neighbors. one races a pro street S-10....i love S-10s, my 98 S-10 SS is actually quicker than my camaro but I guess when I spent all my money modding that thing initially i got kind of carried away if there is such a thing. But denny goes through 3rd gens like i change underwear, i'm always like where'd this car come from?

So many thirdgens, I cant keep my head strait.

However, if any of you "collectors" are needing a right side t-top for mid 80's, a selector plate for an auto mid 80's, and I have the top half of a dual TPI intake I am looking to sell/trade.

I need a left front fender for 91 rs, and im looking for some hoodblisters so I can get that look while getting rid of my hail damaged hood.

Hey Thanks!!! Yeah, you guys will have to come by and check it out. I'll be around for a little while on Sunday but I'm not sure when. The white car has been running pretty good. Some days it runs better than others. I still need to mess with it a little bit. I don't know if I'll take it out on the road or not this year. The plates are still suspended because of emissions testing. I need to get my show car/race car insurance taken care of so I can get my exemption. Even if I don't get that taken care of I'll at least run it down my street with my G-tech to see what it will do.

I don't think you're going to get a test drive but if you want to come by and check it out that's cool.

Maybe one of these days I'll post some pictures of my basement. It a little bit of a mess right now because I've been reorganizing everything. Once I get everything looking nice again maybe I'll take some pictures.
