Pics of new Third-Gen!

Hey guys!

Got my new TA 3-months ago but have only just got round to putting some pics on the computer.

This is after the car had been driven 450-miles home and hadn't been cleaned - never mind waxed.

Plenty of fresh new pics soon as me and some friends spent a good few hours cleaning it up at the weekend. I'll also post some pics of the mint grey leather interior later.

What do you think?

Texas LT1: I was a bit worried by that myself at first but believe me.... it was the best condition ThirdGen I could find by some considerable margin.

It's a genuine 38000 mile car with an entire folder of documentation. The current paint job has been on the car for 9-years, is still fantastic quality and has totally grown on me.

Also, the car has already been magazine featured and has had shed loads of cash spent on it over the years. The last owner had it for 8-years, and the previous guy for 3-years so it's been well looked after.

The blue is a lot brighter in the pictures than in person. In person you can see the airbrushed details and shadows - it looks far better than in the above pics.

All of the european GTA's that Ive seen have had the standard bird tail lights. Not sure why though.
Looks pretty good man, I dont mind the graphics all that much either.

normally i wouldn't say this but... your car would look a lot better lowered.

The stripe gives it a racing, aggressive feel to it... especially in bold blue... it needs to be lower to pull it off... know what I mean?

nonetheless, your car is mint lucky guy.

I'm kinda torn on the "N" or "checkmark" or whatever it is, maybe it was a little bit different......

Orange Zig Zags are the only way to go..... .......but the blue doesn't look all that bad......I would just suggest getting new rims, the gold, red, blue scheme just isn't work....

how about some interior and engine pics......

[QUOTE]...Also GTA's don't have vents in the front fender,or drum brakes...
^from another fourm
http://216.33.240.250/cgi-bin/linkrd...goto%3dnewpost

and the car has diskbrakes all round

dont know why the tail lights are different, might be so that they
conform to the EU standards. (i prefer these lights nyway)

GTA emblems have been removed in the respray i suppose along with the rubbing strips

car cant b lowered - the exhust is alreasy grinding out but we have a plan to solve that.

Engin pics will b out ASAP

The tail lights were changed from grid style after one got cracked, and parts are not as easy to come by over here, just ask RMK.

The emblems were removed at respray time. The guy I bought the car off gave them to me.

The car has 4-wheel disc brakes, posi rear and all options. The VIN number etc all check out. All original documents and invoices. There is no question over the heritage or history of the car.

Interior and engine pics by the weekend probably.

Gordon,

The reason the tail lights have been changed over is that it is illegal to have red indicator lights in the UK. They need to be amber.

James, why do you have a pic of Gordons car as your avatar? I'm puzzled by this

Gordon, when am I getting a go of your car? You promised me! What's that? Are you replying? I can't hear what you are saying over your blue stripes. :P

Kidding aside, I've been in the car and it is clean and as tight as my girlfriends g-string (trust me on this one Gordon). The stripes grow on you after a while. The car also runs brilliantly and the engine has a lot of low down twist. Post your dyno numbers!!

We need to get together with the cars soon and get some video as I'm trying to edit a video.

Regards

RMK

The zig zag looks like somthing from Saved by the Bell. but i think that it makes your car orignal. If it wasnt for the zig zag it would just be another red thirdgen.

The "pinstripe" are flames! Thankyou for being the first to actually notice. The effect is solid at the top of the flame, and then it blends into the red below. It was airbrushed on.

Didn't get more pics over the weekend - but I shall as soon as I have the time guys.
