It looks more like a Corvette than a Camaro. I don't like the two tone paint either.

Interesting......
Not really crazy about the nose, but the bob-tail is working, especially with the big slicks on there.
Somehow, the color works, too

here. They should call this section "Stock Appearance and Detailing"

I like most of your design, but I have never been a fan of the C5 rear, even on a C5.

I think by 'waste of time' it was a reference, more then likely, to the fact that every other day someone posts another 'concept' Adobe Illustrator 10 minute job that won't ever come to fruition anyways...I don't know if it really had much to do at all with how the car is designed. I don't mind seeing them, but it does get a bit much....a flat car shell with some wheels Photoshopped on...meh, to each their own. Of course, sometimes people just like being *******s...blah, who cares either way?
(btw, not knocking the Illustrator mock-ups...just gettin' a little tiresome at this point. Oh well, "Don't like it, don't look" for me, I guess...)

I'll keep it simple and stay out of the war.
I like it, and if it were done, RIGHT, and painted a solid color, I think it would look totally sweet.

I like it, but I still prefer the stock look. I feel it looks too much like a Supra/300zx cross. The rear end is nice. Would be a pain in the butt though.

no offence guys, but if your sick of seeing these concept cars then dont go in the posts... the topic is pretty self explanitory (spelling) so its not like they trick you to come in here. im sure they know that GM is'nt going to use the drawings, its just for fun. not tryin to get people mad at me but if people want to show off their drawings then why not.. it dosent bother me

Ditto. I don't see the harm in it. If you don't care to see it don't look, just makes sense to me. But hey.

Not really that, but to me they all look the same, with a few minor changes, how about something different instead of the same pic of a car, with a few more vents.
I like your concepts. Keep up the good work. Its nice that you can display your ideas in a picture. I'm not artistic so all I can do is try it in real life and then get flamed. It cool to see different styles and ideas and what they would look like. Keep those creative juices flowing man!

I, for one, enjoy seeing devianb's drawings. I think they are great! Sure on some there are just small changes here and there, but I'm sure he is just trying to stay true to the basic look of the car. I bet he has some stuff that would knock our socks off.
And just because they are only drawings now, it does not mean he won't draw just the right one and build it for himself.

As always... I'm with LT1guy on this one. (and redraif and crazy hawaiian etc.)
Time after time I see people posting their all-but-constructive critisizm about devianb's work.
Devianb, you quite obviously have a lot of talent, and I think most of the stuff you do is amazing. I think it unfortunate that modifying cars from the stock appearance is considered a crime or just ugly around here.
I'm not bashing those of you who simply posted that they didn't like the drawing, you gave your opinion -- which is what he was asking for.
Kj's "stop wasting your time" comment was just rediculous... it looked to me that you were just trying to me mean. I quite hope he doesn't stop "wasting his time", as you put it, because I enjoy logging on most days to find a new creative, beautifully put-together rendering of devianb's concept.
If not for people like devianb and redraif and all those out there not afraid to spice things up a little, this would be one boring message board with all uniform cars and unchanged exteriors.
I dont think thirdgen would hold my interest for long if not for the other people like me.
You can hold your opinions, but please... i don't see any reason in being so mean about it.
DevianB... i like your concept. Flows nicely, and I'd love to see what it would look like if it was ever created in real life. I'd drive it. good work.

now that one looks a lot better, maybe it was the color combo of the original, but still they don't look like 3rd GEns anymore.

I think I need to explain something here:
Just because I post a drawing, it doesn't mean I actually like it. I just try out ideas I have never seen before. It is better that I do something in concept form before I actually do it in real life. I like to see what an idea looks like. I do it in drawing form so I can visualize it quickly. It helps to give ideas that other people have not thought of yet either. To tell you the truth, this one is not my one of my favorites. I am still trying to work on light angles, shadows, and color hues.
As for Mark A Shields and KJ Rockz; You will be happy to know that you won't see another concept for a while. This past weekend was the only time I had no homework or studying to do. I took advantage of the time to do some ideas. I could do other angles, but it gets tiresome to start a new car from scratch when I already have one on file that I can change.
I am not the least bit angry or upset about the negative things that people said about my CAL Z. You either like it all, some of it, or you don't like it all. I value everyone's opinion. I am still going to put an idea out here and there.
Since this concept was not a success so to say, I am going to yank the pic none the less and post a more subtle idea in it's place in a few days.

The only reason I used that color combo was because I never used or saw it before. I could have made it blue or red or what ever color though. The modified ones by lbrohez and TFM4th are cool too.
