wheel clear coat

Ok so I was driving this morning and hit some water/oily **** in the road. The back end slid out on me and when I tried to correct it was like my front wheels werent there, it didnt correct at all. I slid into a curb on the opposite side of the road and hit it with my front driver side wheel. The damage isnt that bad, it wasnt high speed. The bottom side of the lip got torn up, like curb rash kinda. Not hat big of a deal. Alignment might be a little messed up but I dont know for sure yet.

The problem is now the clear coat is peeling in that little spot.

What kind of problems will this cause, and is it possible to spray a small patch of clear on it to preserve it or does it have to be professionally done? I have no money for that.

Hmm, I'm no expert, but I suppose you could put a lil clear coat on it as a temporary measure. They sell clear coat in the same little bottles as touch up paint, so you wouldn't have to spray it on, just a little dab of it might hold it from peeling more until you can get it fixed.
