photo for unknown_host

i posted a poll on 3rdgen.org as to if the top picture of the car has been color changed in photoshop and here are the responses i got:

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
yes its photoshopped I can almost prove it... look at the reflection of the building on the hood.. if the car is that SHINY.. the reflection of a gray building wouldn't be ORANGE on red.. it was a dull grey on a WHITE car.. and the WHITE was edited RED.. thus, making the reflection seem red/orange too..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To go along with that, it kinda looks like the color saturation was altered as well, or the colors with the license plate - doesn't look like it should be that white...

here's the picture rescanned this morning. It just seemed to me that you were implying by above "quotes" that I took a white car and photoshopped it red. Totally untrue...

usually when someone makes a remark about "photoshopping" a photo I take it that something was changed or altered in the photo. Just going into photoshop to resize and adjust levels isn't altering a photo. No hard feelings, I just don't want people to think I'm deceiving anyone with the photos I've posted.

If it was photoshoped, then you are a master, becuase you m anged to get the inside of the wheel wells, and not change the color of the trim molding.

Well, since the building is actually yellow and only the door is grey, I'd say that the angle of reflection would be higher than the door, and actually reflecting the side of the building. If I remember the basic colr wheel, adding yellow to red makes orange. Not so photoshopped to me!

I work with photoshop as my full time profession as a graphic artist. I can tell the levels were altered to gain a sharper image as far as contrast and brightness are conserned. The red looks rich but that is probably the cause of scanning and fixing the levels. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

I have a red firebird and I take it into PS and adjust levels I get the exact same affect. Rich reds and dark shadows. No big deal.

just my .02 worth....

I still don't see why anyone would actually care if this thing was photshopped. It's a red iroc! Have you seen the finished car?????

It's amazing. She could have showed a picture of a yugo for the before picture and I still would have been when I saw the after pictures.

Fatal....you have to make it to the Houston Thirdgen Gathering II. If not.....I'm gonna cry.

Yeah, no major change, but look at the color of those headlights, you can tell something was changed.

don't let yourself get worked up over something like that. There are plenty of people on this board that love your car, including myself . Don't let the unkind words of a few spoil your time here. You wont be able to go around trying to justify you have or have not done to your car in any respect. (this is the case for everyone on this board). Some people here will bash and look for a chance to argue. Don't stoop to their level. Just some words of advice. I have a 2.5L "IRON DUKE" four cylinder Firebird and Ive heard all kinds of responses to my owning it. I don't plan on yanking the motor or anything. I like my car just the way it is. Ive heard plenty of bad responses about the car and myself for owning it and I just let it roll off my back. If it was there car they can do what they want with it. Okay now im rambling....

Youve done a great work to that car! I look forward to seeing the new look that your working on too!

Later,
bill

ignorance is bliss aint it?

It's always amusing to me when people at the local shops or oil change places ask what year my car is and guess it's like a 94 or something. I just laugh and say no...it's about 7 years older than that. Makes you proud though...you own a rare piece of history

I could tell right away it was a thirdgen with some sweet craftsmanship on it!

I get a lot of things like, "i didn't know that came with a 4" or "your kidding right?" or "you #$&^% take that out and put in a &%$@* 350!" the list goes on....

looking forward to seeing your pictures

Go read the other damn post, it was Photoshopped, brightness altered or whatever. You're getting worked up over nothing, if you read the original post, unknown was RIGHT.

I'm sorry... can unknown speak for himself???
whatever???
I think you need to REREAD the original post. Someone in his poll said the car was originally white and I changed it to red.
Can we get over this.... I have

I think you hit the nail on the head man. I think everyone is looking for something to nitpick about because the final product leaves nothing to complain about. Good job Fatal88 don't let everyone get to you.
