luckily none in the bird since I bought it 4 yrs ago. I can tell the front and back bumper had been damaged though. Well aside from a speeding ticket (only one in ten yrs of driving) and my dad touching the front end against someones tire in a parking lot, nothing.

one ditch in my old bug is all I've done, and the "DD" put my old 75 BMW in a ditch too.

I do have bad road rage though, mostly when other people almost hit me or ride on my a$$.

Here's a funny story:

A couple of years ago, I pulled into my landlords long-*** driveway to drop off that month's rent. As I finished pulling up, I noticed the left hand garage door open up (three car garage) and a black Lexus start pulling out. I thought I was okay since I was in the right half of the drive. He gets partway out and starts cutting the wheel! (I guess he likes to turn the car around and drive out forwards.) I noticed him turning, so I gun the gas and pop the clutch. Too late... He clips my rear fender, stops, and pulls back forward a little way. I get out of the car and start looking at the damage and he walks over to talk. Here's the conversation:

Him: "Wow, that was close!"
Me: "To damn close!"
Him: "Looks like someone else got ya there."
Me: "Huh?!? You just did this!"
Him: "No I didn't."
Me: "Yes you did!!!"
Him: "No I didn't!"
Me: "Grrr... YES YOU DID!"
Him: "NO I DID NOT!"
Me: "YES YOU DID!! HOW THE HELL DO YOU EXPLAIN THE RED PAINT ON YOUR BLACK BUMPER!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"
Him: "Huh? Oh! Uhhhh.... I guess I did."

He's lucky though. If he wouldn't have been my landlord, I would have snapped a foot off in his ***!

Thats fuked up 84firebuzzard. Best story yet.

>well here is my story

I wasnt driving and it wasnt a thridgen F-body but a 98 honda or something. So me and 3 buds R headed out to....I think the beer store to load up on some goods. Dude driving the car is going like 90 and its raining pretty hard out. You know when you can really see out of the window though the wipers R on Full blast. Yeah that hard... But I guess he thought it would be ok to hit the breaks going this fast on the high way in this kinda rain. Well guess not cuz the car started to rotate to the right and pull a 180. I remember watching this semi's big azz wheels that were about 2-3 feet from our spining car. Well after pulling the 180 the right side of the car smacked the 3 foot tall cement median and this chicks that was holding on to me hit her head on my jaw. Great I though... That stoped the car and the engine. So we look around and we're like Damn..... Then getting brighter in the darkenss of the highway is about 5-6 cars coming closer. OH ****! so the driver starts the car and it still runs and moves. We turned around and took the nearest exit. Then we all got to walk to a corner store in the mud and rain to a payphone calling everyone we know saying uhh...hey this dude wrecked his car can you give us a ride? Got a ride home in that chicks Moms Van.

so what goes through your head when you think that hey....this could be it...the end right here. What do you think¿ Just about nothing......no flash before my eyez....just us in the car...spining....the wheels of a semi truck....headlights in the darkness...rain...thats all...........

How in the world did you come out of this? That is a pretty sick hit. Glad you're still in the land of the living.

Never had anything that terrifying!! Thought I was going to once though. I hit some black ice doing about 50, spun 180, killed the engine and rolled/skidded 99% of the way through the median towards on-coming traffic. I hate to admit it, but I froze up. All I could do was look backwards and think "OH F**K!!!"

Luckily, the muddy median and my foot pushing the break pedal through the floor stopped the car before I made it back onto the highway on the other side.

No accident, just a close call. Still, MAJOR pucker factor involved.

I am 19, I have been driving since I had my permit when i was 15, been driving my car since i was 16. I have never had a wreck in ANY car. I guess I have just gotten lucky so far. I have also never had a moving violation (speeding, etc). The only ticket I got is for no front license plate (cops give tickets for anything here...).

Let's see...

1st day of school, I was 15 with my permit. I was driving my 67 Chevelle, which at the time as all in primer. This girl was pulling into the elementary school to drop her kid brother off ( yeah I knew the girl ) she was like 10 car lengths ahead of me...anyway, it was her first car and it was a manual. She stalled it halfway through the right turn.... since she was SO far ahead of me, I hadn't really slowed down...downshifted, locked 'em down and bounced off the right side curb trying to miss her. Her car was totalled.

The only thing I had to fix on my Chevelle was the radiator and the middle grille piece

16 years old...early 80's Datsun pickup. Had 2 of my buddy's in the back... blowing down a back road ( I grew up in the sticks ) and as we crossed a newly paved section ( no shoulder, just about a 12" dropoff on either side ) I hit some crush and run on the road from where some people had their driveway paved. The blacktop with gravel on top is not good...the truck fishtailed, and the bitch of it is, I SAVED it and brought it back on the road....then the back tire dropped off side of the road ( remember NO shoulder, newly paved ) and when I brought it back AGAIN, the sharp edge blew the tire out and flipped that little truck like a TOY. Luckily, no one was hurt. One of buddy's did get thrown out of the back into a prickly bush Only thing hurt was his pride. My other friend actually jumped out right before we flipped...he landed in some bushes and he was fine. The truck slid 300 feet on it's roof. The CLEAREST memory I have is the truck being upside down, motor STILL running, and "Don't Need Nothin' But a Good Time " by Poison was in my tape player...I STILL don't like that song to this day...

I was a passenger in a '70 240Z when a logging truck plowed us at a crossroad. The driver, my girlfriend at the time, puked on me from all the spinning the car did We got lucky the truck JUST clipped the last foot or so of the car. Trucker later said he stopped counting after we did 3 360's ... VERY lucky then. We were doing probably 85 mph, and the truck was ROLLIN'...I actually drove the car back to my house, cleaned it up and we told her Dad and Mom that someone must have backed into us at the store ... NOTE...this did get me laid. :P

MY last wreck ( 9 years ago ).

ME and a buddy took my Toyota 4x4 to Toys R Us to get a game for the Super Nintendo he had. We were turning into the store, which is located right next to the mall. Anyway, they were striping the road with the big truck, and the guy in front of it walking, looked both ways, and then waved me on to turn left.... A BRAND NEW Camry PLOWED us. I remember my buddy's head BOUNCING off the pass glass, I still can't believe the glass didn't break. The chick was from Quebec, and spoke like TWO words of English. She had cut across one parking lot entrance to another, saw the truck in the road and swerved to miss it. The car was a rental from Quebec. CAMRY...TOTALLED. Truck, she flattened my BRAND NEW 35" tire and bent the rim...that's it. It was a NO fault accident because the wreck happened on private property. And the whole time my buddy was trying to pick up this chick..she was pretty hot...but she was also pretty stupid. She thought the white smoke like stuff from the airbags deploying meant her car was on fire

About 2 years LATER...I get a BILL for like $13k from some lawyers office in Quebec... for the totalled Camry.....yeah right..

Well I have been in alot of car accidents in my life. (Not my fault) This isn't exactly third gen related but here goes.

My 1998 F-150 Had been hit 8 times in 14 months. Never my fault and never any major damage. All but one incident were all me getting rear ended. Most of it just nailed my bumper. One time it was my rear quarter panel.

I traded the thing in on a 2002 F-150 after the incident with my rear quarter. 4 months after getting the 2002 truck some woman drives her 4x4 SUV into my front fender. $1000.00 worth of damage. I have a new fender now and all is well.

I also have an interesting statistic for you. The Camaro is involved in more accidents than any other car in the country % wise vs other cars out there. This includes all generations. All GM said about that is that it's the demographic of people that usually drives these cars.

A piece of advice for all third gen owners. Do not drive your car in the rain or snow. I drove mine in the rain once and nearly wrecked the car making a 5 mile an hour turn from a dead stop at a light. I will never drive the thing in heavy rain again. I know you can't all do that because not everyone has another car to use in those conditions. Our cars just suck in bad weather. T-Tops leak, they are hard to control etc....etc.....

Well ive only had my 92 about 4 months and been in two accidents

1st)
I backed into a teammate of mine in our highschool parking lot, no damage to mine about 300 to his

2nd)
Im sitting at a light and this jack a$$ in a big truck decides to back up, putting his trailer hitch thru the little indent where the fog light is.
about 1500 to my car and none to his. well i have no collision coverage so i got the guy to pay me 500 cash, im still looking for a bumper cover for a 92 firebird if anyone has a spare :hail:

oh yea i also hit a stop sign going about 40, who said our cars drive bad in the winter. that did a little damage too.

1 accident with some old lady who stopped short on the road and i bumped into her at literally 3 mph, left one small scratch on her bumper and nothing on mine and she threw a fit. Damage was $100 to repaint her bumper.

second accident was just 2 weeks ago when the roads were real bad and i slid into the curb, damage there was hopefully steering box and spindle but thats yet to be fully diagnosed

ive been in FOUR! the first one was an old man in a brand new caddie, at 20mph...took off the front clip and pushed me 20feet b4 he realized he hit me. he was cutting across the parking lot at a weird angle i didnt see him. 5,000 to fix

second someone backed in t0 the right front corner when i was eating dinner. 1,000

third, old woman rear ended me at a stop light at 30mphr and that cause about 1,600 in damages

4th, a ford 1 ton truck ran my off the road at 75 mph and sent me into a ditch causing the brand new painted bumper to be replace and almost ripping the front spoiler off. 2500 in damages never caught the @$$hole who did it!

1st car 1987 camaro z28 about $6,000 in mods. just had it painted and it cost me $2,000. had car for 1 month after paint job and on christmas eve, a drunk driver pulled out in front of me from behind a huge pile of snow in the median. I slammed him at about 70. car was totaled. Merry Fing Christmas

2nd car 1989 GTA. had car 3 months, going about 120mph on curvy road and I come over a hill and there is a car stopped in the road. I brake and swerve to miss and the back tire locks up. I go spinning past the car and take out about 100 feet of a very strong fence. The cop asked me how fast I was going and told him about 40mph and that a deer ran in the road. He measured the long skid mark......over 500 feet. needles to say I got a $300 speeding ticket and a $3500 bill to fix the car.

3rd car 1991 Z28 some of you may know this car. It was a silver 91z28 that had chevy extreme wheels an TT2 wheels on it. It was short lived though, it caugt fire and was a total lost.Heres some pics
