Do they make this hood??
I'm lookin for a stock looking IROC hood, not a cowl IROC hood, just a flat stock one, but fiberglass, similar to the 4'' Harwood lift off hood. My bro just got one, and the thing must only weigh about 10 lbs.
Anyone know if they make an IROC hood that is lift off? I assume lift off hoods are lighter than bolt on glass hoods?

all that lift off hoods are, are a cheaper veison of a bolt on but the lift off doesnt come with holes for the hood latch or reenforced holes for the bolts to bolt to the hood arms.

enless they are reenforced with steel like my brothers cervinies hood. but the unlimited products my brother had was bolt on and it was lighter becuz it was unfinished. my hood is also unfinished and i think its a harwood, not too sure though.

yeah yall are right. the lift off ones just dont have any (or as much) of that steel reinforcemnt to make the hood sturdier. also when u get a bolt on glass hood i think you have to buy new hood lever deals that have weaker springs sice they dont have to hold up as much and they might crack the glass becasue they have so much force.

If it's only 10 pounds, you just pop it off, and you have free access to the entire engine bay, with nothing in the way....
It may take a few extra secs to get off, but damn, think about not have to work around the hood...

To respond to one of the above questions, a fiberglass formula/TA hood is available form VFN Fiberglass. As for the IROC hood, your best bet is just to check each of the websites I compiled in the thread link I have included. Updated Fiberglass Thread
