Okay, I got conned into going to the salvation army store, and aside from buying the murder she wrote board game (ultimate crappy christmas gift for my sister ) I found a set of Cragar Keystone wheels for $7 a piece. Actually, it was half price day and I got them for $3.50 a piece. They are in need of restoration, missing the center caps, but are otherwise soild rims. There is some rust on them, but I think it can be restored. If push comes to shove Ill use them as truck rims or use them to prop up my car under the tires. Anyways, they are 15x7 with what looks to be around 4" of backspacing. Around how big of tires could I mount on these bad boys? Will they fit on my Trans Am? How difficult is it to restore chrome rims? If they wont fit my car, do you think theyd fit a 67 camaro? I think they'd look bad @$$ on my fathers 67 camaro. Hey he got me a set of Z-28 wheels, I can return the favor.

 

Well i cant answer your question but thanks for the great idea of some place to look for odd-n-ends goodies, i have a salvation army store right across the street might have to check them out to see if they have anything there, i always see car parts on the side of the building where they have the donation drop of spot, i was always tempted to just jack the stuff at night but better judgement got to me and i havent, but for 7$ i think i could maybe stroll in the store and take a look.

 

I never wouldve thought thered be car parts there, but I was surprised. It was awful I had 3 chicks in the car, and a full trunk. it was real interesting fitting 4 15x7 rims in the car since no one wanted one on there lap. some people just didnt get how good a deal it was.

i know what u mean i just got 4 american racing rims 15x7 the black/polished steel rims for 65 and they are new but my mom didnt understand why i bought rims if i already had some. oh well mom i dont understand why margerine is better than butter.
