and finaly my day has come!!!!!

ha im so happy! i just made a deal for my first car. its a 91 rs with a 3.1 auto. not quite my choice of drivetrain but it should help me stay out of alot of trouble lol. its maroon with gray interior. the only catch is that its wrecked. it needs a hood, frong bumper cover, headlight support, radiator support, and front gfx. not to bad for $700. sorry but i dont have any pics yet. im going to pick it up on friday after school. and a realy good feeling i get is that i worked my *** off all summer to save enough money to buy it myself and fix it myself. well i just thought id tell u all that i am finaly gonna own a thirdgen.

Post pics if you can sometime! You must be so excited. You will find that this coming weekend, you will be so consumed with your Camaro. You won't leave it's side!:sillylol: Have fun with your new baby! Again, congrats!!

the car has 130,000 miles on it but the engine was rebuilt 50,000 ago. ive been looking for one for a long time and im glad in finaly got one. another thing that is pretty cool i think is that this car is almost exactly like my brothers first car. same year, color, drivetrain, everything exept for his had an aftermarket sunroof and wheels.

Good luck lank. I just bought my first TRUE car. As in a car that I didn't buy from my parents. 89' TransAm GTA. Too bad I found out the engine block had a crack in it only AFTER I bought it. I was told it was a blown head gasket.

I finally got ahold of the original owners and turns out they purchased it as a project car in January of 2002. Went to the owner before them(2nd owner, I'm the 4th owner of this bird). Turns out he was only 16 when his parents bought it used for him. He drove it hard and did a few 'things' to it that I am REALLY worried about.

Body wise my car is near perfect with the expected 'Van Nuy's' paint job. I've got alot invested in this car already, and I still need a new engine in it. I'm dropping a remaned L98 350 long block in it. The only way anyone will ever get their hands on this car is if they pry the key's from my dead hand. Its MINE! And I'm going to keep it for a very long time.

That's wonderful that you got your first car! Take good care of it and dont cut through parking lots, watch out for elderly people who are INTENT on backing out of a parking space, and make sure to watch for people running red lights...: )

Have fun with your new Baby!

just make sure the frame is not hurt at all, that will cost a bit to get straight...

making a wrecked car streetable again is not a choice i would think of.. of corse depends on damage though

good luck and congrats!

Congrats on the new car, i'm sure you'll have a blast with it..
i got mine as a project car back a year and some ago and i got it for $900 Candian, like 575US, and it came with 2 new doors, a hatch, 3 spoilers, 2sets of GFX, one broken, new radiator, windshield wiper motor, and so on and so on, took me a little less than one year to get it finished, and oh yeah a $ quarterpanel too... heres a before and after shot........

that 2.8 and 700r4 died at the same time one day on the highway leaving me stranded for like 2hours, it is now in search of a carbed 350... But for those 3 months that i got to drive it I was the happiest guy around.. you can still have fun in it even if it is a 6 and an auto..... it's still RWD I had mine going like 200km/h, but only once

Good luck & enjoy. I can remember my first car back in 86'. I was 15 and it was a 79 Fiat Spyder 2000 Convertible w/ 70k for $2000. I loved that car. I had it for about a 2 years. Unfortunitly I got into an accident, bet the **** out of it and blew the motor & tranny. I loved that car. There no feeling like your first car. You will was remember it.

Congrats, I also had the pleasure of owning a camaro for my first car (still do). Just wait till you get the new front clip and GFX on. It makes my car look like new.
