I'm planning on buying a car. I decided to sell my POS '88 RS. Once I started working on it, I just realized it was to much to deal with right now. Plus this way I can hopefully find an IROC in my price range.

Depending on the year you are looking for, or your needs, you can find a good one for pretty cheap if you dont mind doing some work.

Paint! Finally! My garage used to have one lightbulb and one electrical outlet. In the last 3 weeks I've upgraded the electrical panel in my house, added an electrical panel in the garage and put in 20 outlets and 6 fluorescent lights. I also ran a gas line and this weekend I'm installing the furnace. Heat baby Heat!

As soon as the garage is done, I have to go retrieve my Firebird from the in-law's garage and start the mad body & paint thrash this winter. Corvette Admiral Blue paint, flush door handles from a 2000 GP, and a new GT Auto fiberglass rear spoiler.

By the way, anyone who lives where it is warm all year can bite me. I hate winter.

Planning on installing my headers and maybe a catback, and just generally want to work on preserving it - got a little surface rust starting underneath. It's not bad, but I want to stop it NOW. And whatever I might come up with before it's time to shine it and drive it.:lala:

I will try my very best to not blow my motor or tranny so i won't be without a car for 3 months again. I blew my motor after new years and it sucked, dropped in a350 and a week later my mommy fuked up my fender, than a week later someone hit my back bumper and took some paint off. So now its just a beater, paints peelin and its rustin. I'm gonna start looking for my dream GTA, and beat on this one in the mean time, maybe get an exhuast.

thats rough. I've got an iffy knee too, so i can sympathise with you, fortunately for me it's my left, so it doesn't affect driving my auto, however, if a car has even a slightly heavy clutch (like my old chevette) it becomes painfull / imposible to drive in traffic for more than about 30 mins.

driving from one side of london to the other in a manual leaves me barely able to walk! (lucky i live 50 miles north and drive an auto)

as for winter, i'll be getting cold, and spending most of my time washing all of that bl**dy salt off my car.

Brakes, Moser 12-bolt, driveshaft?, TUNING, and probally upgraded exhaust! Funds pending of course. In Spring i would like to get the interior done up with all sorts of stuff but i would rather have it running strong first over "*****" interior mods. Can't wait for summer already, oh yeah.

juice? what do you mean?

baer brakes are surprising very affordable nowdays; hell i can get a 12" setup for the price i paid for my gm performance rotors alone....add 200 more and upgrade to the 13". just seems like the better idea; not only will the car be safer on the streets but they look sweet!

Brakes only slow you down! any deranged axe murderer will tell you that!

So, did you need to sell your soul to the devil for such a sweet camaro? how much did he pay? ( i heard he sells them on ebay for a proffit)

first things first... gotta get my tranny rebuilt. didnt think it would blow up this early, but that's life then hopefully start getting machine work to 350 block...still looking for one! anyone have a spare stock block 350? 2 or 4 bolt main. then just get everything set up, susp, ignition, rear disc brakes...prob going to get a set of bear racing brakes later on. new rims and tires, new head liner, cd player and such...no "system" for me though. need a better rear end for when my new engine goes in.... and after that, it'll prob be time for 3rd gen nationals....

not tooo much haha

Well,

Since ya asked, I figured I would share some plans of my own. Some of you already know that my 87 GTA has an LT1 in it. I plan to complement the LT1 with a T-56 Transmission. I already have everything for the swap. I will be using the following for the transmission:

Spohn Crossmember with Driveshaft Loop
Spohn Adjustable Torque Arm
B&M Ripper Shifter

I also decided that since I am doing part of the suspension I might as well get the whole thing done. I purchased a Spohn Adjustable Panhard Rod, Bilstein Shocks and Struts, and Eibach Sportline Kit Springs. I will also be installing a set of 1LE Brakes. I already have just about everything except brake lines and the proportioning valve, so I still need to hunt them down. The a-arms well get treated to new ball joints and poly bushings.

For the interior. I am currently finishing up a custom console project. We have taken a 4th gen console from a 97+ T/A and did some custom work to the center console insert. I will post pics once it is all done. Lets just say it was a 4 week project for the time being and my first experience with fiberglass and bondo
Once that is complete, I will be dying the console, radio pod and dash trim black to match the rest of the interior. I will also be recovering the headliner and deleting the roof console. I am planning on installing a descent entertainment system in the car, if money allows, I will be dynamatting the car and laying down some new carpet!

The only other thing I am doing is deleting the a/c. I have already removed everything from the firewall and replaced it with a standard heater box. All I have left to do on that is remove the compressor, install the 1le delete bracket and size up for a new belt.

The 92 Camaro RS/Z28 Clone I picked up will be getting treated to a B&M Megashifter and Manual Fan Switch. That is it for now!

Hopefully all will go smoothly and I will be able to attend the F-Body meet in Indianapolis!
