And so beings another winter...
And so beings another winter...
I hate Syracuse, wake up, go to my car and see this:
I cant wait till I have to take my shovel out of the back and dig it out. Any tips on preventing corrosion by salt, I have to drive it this winter.

no mark i think you have snow blindness
84TAProject theres not much that will stop the salt. one thing you can do is have the under side oiled. i will make a big mess in the engine bay if you have it done as well. but as i am sure you know the best thing would be to just store the car for the winter.

We don't have a problem with salt but this is what I would do. clean out your inner panels with compressed air(inside guards, doors, cills etc) then spray or brush on some cavity wax this will seal your panels & panel folds & stop salt eating into them.
Now if I only know what you guys call cavity wax
It will run out of your drip holes so leave doors open or cover areas that may get dripped on & have a rag with turps or sumtin ready to clean it off.

Its just the angle of the pic that did that. ANd the title should read begins, not beings.
As for stroing the car for the winter, uh, its my driver. My fresh coat of paint souped up trans am gets garage space over the 2.8 camaro. The car isnt really in that great of shape, but the pic makes it look in good shape. As you can tell by my ghetto rims (aka hubcaps) its got snows on it now.

Paint the bottom of the car and the wheelwells with rust proof paint. Then put a couple of layers of good quality auto wax on the bottom half of the car. That will keep the salt and crud off the paint. Do the rest of the car, too, but the bottom half is most important.
