question about ebay IROC wheel
This IROC I'm looking at on ebay has what appears to be a small tire on the back. Its a 86 IROC rim but the tire looks kinda like a donut spare compared to the wheel well. Its the one that says IROC-Z28 5.7 t-tops no reserve, and its in San Diego.I emailed them to go look at it,but maybe you guys can help me faster. Thanks

Yeah, post the link , but I'm missing what you're asking?? if it's a spare on the car?
what yr is the car, there were no 5.7s in '86 available to the public.

Well, I wasn't sure if he was just sayin it had rims like the 86 style or it was an '86, just thought I'd point that above statement out.

Hard to tell with the low-quality pics, but it doesn't look too bad...

I'm not positive... but it is probably just the angle of the picture. Either is is just the picture quality, or that car doesn't look to well taken care of for 44,000 miles. No offense intended to the owner.

No need to start smacking people, unless they are straight out lieing to you. Maybe they are just mis-informed. Alot of people just need to be set straight, not smacked out.

"On Nov-15-02 at 10:35:26 PST, seller added the following information:
IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION THAT THE MOTOR IS A 5.0 NOT A 5.7.ALSO THE MILES EXCEED THE ODOMETER MECHANICAL LIMITS.TRUE MILES ARE UNKNOWN.THIS IS OUR FIRST LISTING SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. "
It seems the odometer has passed the 100k mile mark....

Thanks for replies, they(valley financial)haven't replied so I can't see it in person.I knew it was a 305,because of the VIN.the 144,000 miles(probably)isn't much concern because I would like to swap a 350 in later. For $2300 its not that bad,but I'm not even going to consider it unless they let me see and start it up.Sorry I forgot to post the link and thanks for posting it.
