He said Camaro

I'm partial to the '86 style IROC rim, I love the polished look of mine. I don't care for the later IROC wheels that much.

I like the 91-92 Z rims as well.

My least fav are the 1st 2 sets on that pic.

I'll take...

I like the 86 and 87's the best, but I don't mind Newer Iroc one's as long as they don't have gold inlay.

I had the 91-92 style on my RS, they're nice for a 16 inch stock wheel, but they get pretty boring, which is why I have 17 inch centerlines.

There isn't a single Camaro in existance that has a full set of centercaps for those wheels. If one does have a full set, it won't be like that for long. I think I've replaced the whole set, at least once (probably more like twice), one at a time.

The 85-87 IROC wheel by far. An instant classic that's still very popular with all sorts of GM guys.

That wheel will rate up there with the 60s rally wheel in terms of lasting popularity.

for those of you with missing 15" center caps you may want to consider the sifferent looking ones used on some blazers and S-10 late models that used the last of this wheel line up, the same way that GM used the last of the 91-92 16's on the Extreme. the 15" center caps I speak of actually cover the lugnuts and are kinda nice looking.

I like the 91-92 style, that is why I got a set for my 84z28. However,
I also like the 85-87 iroc wheels as well, especially the aftermarket
17 inch ones.

I think they would look really good!
I would love to get a set, you wouldn't happen to have a part number would you??? I went to a GM parts dealer and asked them, but the guy didn't know what I was talking about

hmmm, I think I'll start a new thread...

I have looked on autotrader.com at all the blazers and S-10's I care to and couldnt find a picture of one with those wheels, but I have seen them before. I also cant find the extreme with the 16" 91-92 wheels. One of the car magazines project thirdgen actually got its 16's from one of them. you can see it is the 91-92 wheel, but instead of the center cap that looks like a 93 up camaro with the big bolt shaped head, it is flat with with just a bowtie emblem on it.

i saw a blazer in the parking lot at my work with those center caps. It was the first time I saw them and It blew my mind! I waited by the truck for the owner, thinking that they weren't stock rims, turned out it was the guy's wife driving it and she didn't know anything about them. I think they are fairly rare, only seen that one blazer with them around here

S-10'ers call them 16's; ZQ8 wheels because they were offered with the ZQ8 performance package in the S-10ss first before there was an extreme

I like the 88-90 IROCs
the 15" Z-28 wheels can look really good depending on the car

a guy by where I work has a black 84 Z with silver GX, silver 15" wheels and white lettering on the tires (BF goodwrench)
car looks really good in that combo.

now that weve covered the camaro, how about the bird, there is only one kind of each type of 3rd gen bird wheel shown in this picture, some are similar, like the lace pattern (three different types) or the straight turbines (two types, one takes the bowling ball hubcap) or the feather (two types) which is your favorite/least favorite?

also if you have any friends that have these wheels and think they came stock on any 3rd gen f body, SLAP THEM. Its ok to have them or have them on your car, but dont think they are the stock wheels ( I get this alot) they are 1981 Z28, and late 80 monte SS wheels:
