and about the underside of the ram air hood. what do u want to know about it till i can go get a pic of it? like hood clearence? giv es u about 3inches more room under the hood. the ram air holes? they need to be cut outto be made functional. is the underside finished? yes it is a finished hood unlike others where u can see the fiberglass. does that help any?

damn Tim you have an answer to everything dont you :hail:
but seriously he's right the hood even has oval cutouts in the back (when you look through the windshield) for heat extracters, and the kit comes with the hood, but make sure you order the K@n filter to go with it because i got screwed on that one when i bought it and need to get the filternumber

Just to inform you all of what i have (because i havent figured out how to make a sig) 1987 GTA L-98 (actually the engine is just a standrad 350 block that had the TPI intake put on it) it has a 3:45 rear end, 700r4 trans, with a trans-go shift improver kit, GT autoaccessories ram air hood with intake box, accell 8mm wires, soon to have the bosch +4 platinum plugs in there, edelbrock headers+y-pipe, gutted stock cat, and flowmaster catback. ((mods to come)) better heads and cam, 24lb injecters, and i want to get the hooker 3 inch hooker catback kit)) oh and one of those air foils (suggested by Tims bro Tom) he helps me understand how everything works in these things, and what can be done to make it go faster, Tim helps too cuz frankly, im still inexperianced heh :lala: :lala:
i cant wait for another good day of weather or a clear one becuz i just got my used but new taillight covers and i cant wait to see them on my car. and thanx for the complaments on my car guys. i need to repaint it again again. becuz for some reason in certain parts the paint was put on light and its just wearing down to the primer and its pissing me off. i only spent 335 on my paint job but that was just for the paint i did all the body work and got help preping the car and everything. the only thing that i can think of that helpped kill the paint job was when we painted it , the paint booth was 105 degrees and well the temperature controls on the paint booth were screwed up so we couldnt cool it down at all. but i plan on gettin a new nose, and rear bumper and new front GFX for the front nose and then get the car repainted again but at a respectable paint shop.
becuz we painted it at my skool (somerset county vo-tech) and it came out a hell of alot better then the older paint but oh well, cant wait to get it repainted and by then ill also get the place to put on white SS strips on the hood and hatch.

hey tim Ralph told me to get those checker decals for mine
(for everyones info, ralph is a friend of mine with a poor excuse for a civic, not to mention he riced it out) but hes funny and he beats the car to hell just having fun with it, so hes cool in my book hes not thick headed, and admits his lil 1.5ltr could barely beat a moped

damn straight man, remember the intake box comes with the hood, the only REAL work you have to do is drill two holes for the box to screw into right above the radiator, its more simpler to just look at the pic of the engine really, youll see the two aluminum little slots, you use those to keep the box held down :lala:

did you not get it or something? I've looked at pics of your car and it looks like you have a different airbox than the one advertised on GT auto's site.
nope its the same one, but it didnt come with the K@N air filter, and the box is specificly designed for one type of filter, so when i got it it already had a shorter filter, so i sealed it off with some electrical tape, only as a temporary solution of course
