Keep the vert or get hardtop?

hmmm I didn't know where to put this poll, so I put it here.

I've been beating myself up over wether I should keep my 91 z28 vert or if I should sell it and get a 90 hardtop 5.7 Iroc-Z. I would love to keep it and get the Iroc, but I just don't have the money right now. What would you do?

dude are you nuts?

do you know how rare 91-92 convertables are. i would much rather have a convertable than an iroc, especially the 91-92s...

i mean... i have a 92 z28 that's blue just like yours.... i only dream it was a convertable....

your car is beautiful... keep it.

The 90 IROCs are pretty rare too.

mod it. then put iroc decals on it. that way you'll have both. that's what happened to my 91. the iroc package is just meaner looking. therefore, i switched to louvers and rebadged the whole car.

Im probly one of the few on here that will say get a car with Ttops, or hardtop.

I'd have to say i'd probly never own a vert, unless it was givin to me.

i also think it depends on what you're planning on doing, but i'd keep the vert.

Exactly, thats why I'm thinking of switching to a hardtop. I want to make the car a lot faster, and at 13.99 you need a 6 point(i think) roll bar in verts, which sucks. So I would need a roll bar if I wanted to run more than once at the track. Hardtops have a lot more structural integrity too. I've been looking at roll bars, but I just don't think they look that good in these verts.

I think it's going to be pretty hard to find a nice '90 5.7 Iroc(one just sold w/47,000 miles I wanted to look at ). So I might have to expand to 90-92 iroc/z28 L98.

I agree with you 100% i say go with the iroc cause im not a fan of the verts for a couple reasons the biggest being that its a hatchback, the convertable top takes away that whole look and to me .. ruins the lines of the car. I can respect them and everything but a trunk on a thirdgen should be illegal.

Keep the vert, buy a 82-84, etc body cheap to build the other one on.

And for anyone interested in a vert, here's one pretty cheap on ebay:

Keep the vert and build yourself a respectable powerplant for it.

A car that looks great and runs pretty damn well sounds pretty sweet to me . . .
