crazy hawaiian,

your obviously retarded and you live on an island so no one cares about you anyways. drifting at over 80 mph is fine, but the wing doesnt do anything.

wings provide DOWNFORCE if your drifting you've already overcome any benefit that can be had by using one.

as for racing on the highway at 140, ive hit 165 and i didnt need a wing. also, if you have a wing, and no functional frontal air damn, your gonna take off like a plane so thats just stupid.

and how is it that i suck? is it because my car is faster and far better engineered than yours is? is that why? cause gee thats funny, i thought if i had a car that handled good, and had more than enough power that i built entirely that would pretty much mean that you are the one that sucks.

I think that you have a subconscious attraction to me and it is manifested as a hatred/rivalry because you resent the fact that unlike yourself im not gay, and i wont accept you. That, and you feel threatened by me because my knowledge, taste, and my car are far superior to you.

respect the ****

Well JohnyIROC, drifting isnt about spinning out. Drifting is a controlled slide. When you roadrace and push the limits if the cars traction, you will begin to slide. Drifting is the art of controlling that slide. I admit its alot of fun, and alot of people do it because its fun, but in a real roadracing situation, practicing drifting can save you from wrecking your car is you loose traction.

383blackinblack, you suck because you're an arrogant *****. You havent been on this website that long. What is it, a little over a month? Maybe you dont know it, but this place isnt here for you to force your opinion on anybody. And this website is certainly not here for you to disrespect people. Maybe you should go read the top two stickies on this forum. There is a general rule here, if you cant say something constructive, then dont say anything at all. By the way you post, you are only displaying how immature, and ignorant you are. So you go ahead and act like you're the man with your 'faster and far better engineered' car. I dont see you doing any roadracing or drifting, so I dont think you should even talk. You're only ruining the thread for the people who would like to view these pics.

Not to choose sides..., BUT I would totally think a girl would want to get with a guy who can handle thier car like some of the guys in those videos rather than someone who can do a 1/4 mile in 12 seconds.....

You are entitled to your own opinions, just as Brad said at the top, no need to take a normal thread and start bashing people's car.....

LET's get this straight. I didn't come in to ruin this thread. by the time i got here, crazy deleted all the drift pics. I challenge you to find ( A ) post where I foul-mouthed and disgraced someones car

I've been on this board since 2000, and there is no way i am ever going to accept, like, enjoy, or look forward to seeing them big aluminum wings on third-gen.org posts. I admire rev-limit for the custom work he's done to his camaro and the time invested, but that wing is too much and i don't care what anyone else thinks.

sorry for the vent, continue your drift thread. 80mph drifting????? :hail:

lol, i dont get your problems.....

last time i checked this was on the internet and it had no bearing on the real world or how people live in it. sorry guys, i have an actual life outside this board, and i happen to like my attitude. Didnt mean to undermine your pseudo social life.

also, girls dont care what guys can do in a car (most of them, or at least ones worth talking to)

i can drift

i can drive

i can drag

and im pretty damn good at everything i do as well. thats not being arrogant its called being realistic and confident in your abilities.

let me reiterate....if you have a problem with what i said....maybe your the problem. stuff like that is detrimental to the f-body

But you calling people names is detrimental to how you're judged. Not only here, but in life.

There's nothing wrong with saying that spoiler looks bad on that Camaro, if that's the way you feel. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. You can even say it looks stupid, dorky, or whatever, but once you cross that line by saying "gay", or specifically calling a person "gay" or stupid, or another absurd name..... THAT'S what people judge you by.

Yes this is just a message board, but if you represent yourself in person the way you do here, then I hope you don't run into the wrong person. It certainly tells me that I'd never want to associate with someone like you.

I love how people classify cars that are fast aside from cars that look killer. When I tell people Im doing all out exterior/interior mods, and suspension upgrades, they immediatly place shame on me because I dont have an LT1 or a BBC... If I wanted to calculate what kind of time and money that goes into making a car look good.. everyone knows here that you can come up with a pretty ****ing beast of an engine. Maybe I'm different then everyone else.. But I want my car to turn heads on the road... thats what turns heads.. not a 1/4 timeslip. And it gets chicks Im happy with my 305TPI 5spd for now.. gets me where I need to go, and has spunk when I need it.. And still has enough to fry up some imports when needed. Im just blabbin on I guess. What I mean to say is.. no matter what engine is in your car... It will always look good. And Crazy, you have one hell of a looking car, I hope mine looks half as good as that when im finished.

Hey wasap! Well drifting isn't really a big deal yet. Its kind of catching on, but mostly with the import scene seeing as the sport of drifting originated in Japan. Only now is it becomming popular in the US. I think its great that we have a few domestics out here representing. People dont usually think roadracing or drifting when they think domestics. They think of fast 1/4 mile times. Its fun to see their reactions when we go ripping it on the road course. Alot of the import guys scratch their heads and cant believe we can control our cars the way we do. The Camaro is alot larger and alot heavier than most of the cars out there. I enjoy drifting because of two reasons. Number one is the adrenaline rush. Number two are the skills I learn about controlling the car. Drifting has helped me alot because now when I do grip roadracing I'm not afraid to go a little faster around the turns. I'll push the car to the limit and if I cross that limit and start sliding, I feel fully confident that I wont crash the car into the wall. Drifting teaches you control. I will admit it looks like a loss of control to most people, but when you see people doing it over and over again and not crashing or anything .. you start to see. To tell you the truth I dont fear my car flipping. If you go out of control and fly off the track, maybe you might hit something solid on the ground and flip. But 99% of the time you are on the track pavement (weather you have control or not) so its unlikely that you'll flip. During those rare occasions I do go off the track, its definately something I think about. Dont fear it, but must be prepared for anything.

Hurry up and get your website done!!!!!!

Hey thanks! Our website will be up very soon. The reason its taking so long is because the website I'm designing won't just be for Revlimit and I. I'm starting a website for the drifting community in Hawaii. I'm offering free webhosting and a free virtual domain name for all the drifting crews in Hawaii. I want our drifters to be able to show the world what we're doing. The website I'm making for our 3rd gen drifting pics (Revlimit and I are in a drifting team) will be the test run for this main community website. So we can show all the other crews or teams what kind of stuff they can publish on my site, give them ideas, and at the same time people can check out our pics. If my plan works out we could have over 20 crews with their own websites (crewname.domainname.com) with all types of media showing everyone what they do for fun on the weekend. As drifting becomes popular in the mainland US we want everyone to know Hawaii is ready to compete. I do see a future where we have Hawaii drifters shipping their cars to the Mainland US to compete.

92Transam, you're not kidding about the tires! The average drifter at our event goes through 8 - 10 tires every event. We used to hijack the used tire bins at the local tire shops, but now that we are getting seriously fast (above 60 mph is pretty fast .. we're aiming for over 100 mph) we've gotten more serious about the tires. I only run kevlar belted tires because when they pop they dont rip up the car. Its more expensive but those tires do last longer than steel belted tires and they grip a little better. I drift on B/F Goodwrench Comp T/A 15's. Unless I'm just playing around, then the used tire bin is mine!! mwahahah

Wow I'm happy to see more people getting into the world of drifting. The wing is gone I kinda lost my love for it (no not cause of you haters but because my tastes changed) Drifting is about having full out and complete control over a car. Its pushing a car to its TRUE limits. Oh well...to everyone who gave the nice words about me much thanks.

Sup you psycho drifters from Hawaii Guess who's picking up a 3rd gen again This is my first day back on these boards.

Don't know if I want to drift with it though. Somebody invested a lot of money into it, and I wouldn't want to destroy all their hard work Probably gotta find a pos_camaro to learn with first.

For those of you who admire drifting, those pictures just don't do the cars/drivers justice. Even the videos don't show you the real deal. You gotta see it in person. Rev and Crazy are awesome.

<------I didn't realize how long ago I used to come here.

Nah its ok. I can laugh at that. Its just one of those ignorant statements people make. Kinda like when I went to college (Penn State) and people were convinced I lived in a grass hut no matter what I said. Sure I wanted to punch them in the nose, but its not worth it. Usually when people are jealous of something they will try to put you down. Its the nature of weak human beings.

If you want to get technical, that was actually a compliment. In Hawaiian culture the Ali'i (or chief) was the fattest guy around. But hey who am I kidding. I'm 6'5" and weigh 255 pounds. I'm not fat enough to be mistaken for an Ali'i.

Lane, wasap brah!! You wouldnt happen to be getting the black Camaro from Steve would you? That car is badass! Well even if it isnt that one, I still wanna see it sometime. See you around!!

Sup Crazy, yup I'm getting the car from Steve. I looked at it and it was super clean not to mention heavily modified. So what photoshoot for my car and truck? Nah j/k.

All the haters are just jealous and immature. Drifting rocks. It takes a lot of skill, motivation, and ***** to drift.

I would like to see these drifting pics also. i can say that Revlimits car isnt really my style but i definitely think its cool that hes doin his own thing and customizing his car the way he wants. I think its rediculous that some of the people on these boards are so immature that they have to bash someone for being different.

as for 383backinblack he is definitely an ***. i think anyone that can read his posts can vouch for that. for example his replies and the information he includes in this current post as well as this post here
clearly shows his misinformation and ignorance. maybe after some time on the boards he will lighten up and see that we are all different , and that we all have different tastes and styles.

as for REVLIMIT and CRAZYHAWAIN drift on!!!

Scru you both. 5'9", 210 lb here

To remain on-topic, looks like fun driving. That style could come in handy here in Bakersfield. Around here it is necessitated by soccermoms in minivans/SUVs cutting off good drivers while using cell phones, changing diapers, applying makeup... heh

Great vids btw, especially the 360 by the Nissan.

Peace and MerryMerry

I haven't read every post but, all I see is that maro from Hawaii, people saying "no thats original" others going "welp, I's be's from the hills of west Virginia, and if it ain't got a 454, gettin 3 miles per gallon, and can't haul sh*t, then its a *****, I reckon" come on, its his car, in fact, although I don't like the design, thats VERY original...half the people on these boards couldn't do body work like that, I know I couldn't....I just don't understand why people get offended because of what somebody else does to their own personal posessions, thats what makes America so great, originality.....as far as drifting, whatever floats your boat and makes you happy.

Car: too many ...
That was the Signal Auto Drift Clinic. Signal Auto's D1 Grand Prix car, a Nissan 180sx. It has some mods to the front end, thats why it dosnt look like the american Nissan 180 sx. It has Silvia S13 front end conversion so refered to as a sil-180. The driver was Fumiaki Komatsu, aka Drifter X. It was hands down the best drifting I've ever seen. He really raised the bar for the local drifters, showing us what was possible. Talk about complete control. This guy is pushing over 450 rwhp at low boost. He would slidesideways down the straight going over 100 mph and then take a 90 degree turn perfectly at the end. It was insane. The car is completely modified, and when I say completely I mean completely. The car competes in the Japan D1 Grand Prix racing series. When I looked under the wheelwells I could tell EVERY piece of the suspension had been replaced with something stronger. I was very impressed. Read about it here.

Here's a link to a video covering the event here.

I would also like to point out that in Japan Komatsu is atcually only considered good. There are many many many more drifters in japan whos skill completly take out his. Just imagining this...is crazy...

Hey Hawaiian and Rev.... I have been wondering.... these "drifting events" that you attend... how are they judged? I'm very curious about this. I think drifting looks sweet but I think it'd be something hard to judge or have a competition on...

This is the first time I have read this thread, as I assumed that our users had enough sense to stay out of this thread if they had nothing better to add than r*ce this and r*ce that. I guess I thought wrong. Once again, to anyone who thinks that their actions were acceptable, READ THE STICKY at the top of this forum.

In all honesty, I don't like what some people have done to their cars either. Big wings and stickers are not my preference, but it is not my car to decide and I respect their right to do what they want to their property. They have equal right to post on this site without constant ridicule and torment, as long as they are posting about THIRDGEN F-Body related topics. I would not tolerate someone coming into a thread and calling someone's thirdgen a "white trash hillbilly POS," and I will not tolerate any OTHER form of insult. There is a difference between negative criticism and simple insults, and that difference is called tact. Learn it or leave, it's as simple as that.

I have placed a few users on probation due to their actions in this thread. In the future, if someone is coming into a thread to start a flame, please use the "Report this Post" tools that are available and I will be better able to review the situation and determine what action to take. Those users who were placed on probation, you will be left on probation for one month. After a month is up, PM me and I will lift the probation if your actions have not caused me to ban you before then. I think I am being more than fair.

Unfortunately, I must now lock this thread due to the ignorance of a few. Feel free to repost this, but if the thread gets out of hand again I ask that you please promptly report it.
