Is this what your talking about? It's probly the same one used on Saleen rustangs. To bad they aren't functional, they just look good.
You should ask the owner where he got it then post and let the rest of us know.

That is the thirdgenresource.com project Z car and if they have it on their car I'm sure you could go through thirdgenresource.com to get it

I've been mailing them for the past two weeks!! I just want to know what he got it from if it's not for a 3rdgen but I am pretty sure there is a company that makes them for our cars I remember seeing them ALONG time ago before I even had avert. I guess I may just have to try and make my own!

if you can find the light bar for a 4th gen, it should work. all of the third and fourth gen interiors are interchangable with a few mods.
I emailed them when I first saw that car a few months ago.
They want to start making the light bar available sometime after the New Year . . .
"We custom made our roll bar. We are also working on producing that roll bar but it will be after the first of the year. Keep in touch!"

You might take a look at the formed roll bar at rollcage.com. They say they custom make them for any car. I emailed them for a price and/or a catalog...also wrote to thirdgenresource to see if they're going to produce the one in their project car. Haven't heard from either one yet. I want one for my car too...write me direct if you find any other sources.

Its a light bar for a 4th gen camaro that that disassembled and made it to fit by also fabricating pieces that go all the way down to the rockers. Roy is looking into making them for our cars but doesn't have all the details worked out yet so it may be a while.
I believe he said it had to be shortened in width and height to fit, don't remember talked to him when he first had it installed when i was visiting his shop.

I've been looking for some time now; My question is what is the difference between a style bar and a light bar??
Obviously, the roll bar will be functional in a 'rollover' whereas the style bar will not.
BUt, the style bar is supposed to function as a means to prevent side-side movement/twist as well as aesthetics (they claim).
Now when it comes to a 'light bar' I'm lost; Are these what they have on 4th gen verts??
What function do they have besides looks??

In reply to my email to thirdgenresources asking about that bar..."I am working on producing it for sale..... ". Short, simple, and to the point! You might also take a look at brphotrods.com....they took one from a mustang cobra and made it fit a 1st gen camaro they built for the owner of yearone (nice picture of it on the website, too). I'm gonna mail 'em both and see if they can offer any leads. As far as the diff between a light/styling bar, there may be some, but....a rose by any other name would smell as sweet (so sayeth William!) Happy hunting!

True .....[to previous post]
Light bars look cool and all, but I think maybe we could get lots more bang for the buck by getting the 8 pt roll cage from Spohn for $150.
Although its a pain to have to lose the back seats.
Unless it was possible have the two rear-ward tubes just pass over the top of the rear seat by 1/2 inch and then take a nearly right angle turn to bolt down to the flat metal just behind the seats.
I guess youd have to cut 2 "U" shapes in the tonneau for it to clear the tubes.
But hey....it would add a helluva lot more rigidity & would actually function during rollover (ohno).
Whatcha all think??
