got a new grant GT steering wheel

but my car is a 91, and has airbags. I have read the article how to get it out but what i still have one more problem. I need to buy and adaptor kit for it to fit my car, and there are no adaptor kits for 91+ cars. They have 3 in stock that are for a Trans am up to a 1990. Will that adaptor kit work on my car? do the steering wheels hae the same bolt pattern?

I was also wanting to put a Corsa GT wheel from Grant in my '91, so I sent them an email and they told me that if my car was equipped with EITHER air bags or cruise control the wheel would not fit (they said I could try and learn the hard way). They said that if it didnt have either, I could use kit #3196. There has to be SOME WAY to make these steering wheels fit into air-bag/cruise control third gens!! Has anyone done it???

Joe.

Does your car have cruise control also?? I wonder how hard it would be to work around that?? I really want a new steering wheel!

well here is the deal my car has cruise and everything i installed a replacement column. At the same time i installed wheel
you will not even see cruise control equip
just a steering shaft after you take off wheel and every thing.
just follow instructions in package and make sure to note that there is a center mark on the steering shaft
and on column

Cool, then it will work huh? I wonder why they told me it will not work with a cruise control car?? So your's still works right? Would I have to install a replacement column too, or should mine work with the factory column? What did the replacement column come out of (what type of car), or was it an f-body column? Sorry for so many questions, but I would hate to buy this steering wheel and it not work! Thanks.

Joe.

when i installed mine i saw nothing having to do with the cruise control. unless your wheel has cruise settings on the wheel you have nothing to worry about. and no you will not need a replacement column.
