Clear tail lights?

Has anyone seen clear euro tail lights for a third gen? I've seen them for the fourth gen, but none for thirds. I am currently working on fabricating a set of my own and will post pics when done. If any one has any tips or leads as where to find some, it would save me the trouble of making a set. If I do get a set made, is anyone else intrested in some?

As of yet, noone makes clear/altezza lights for our cars. I believe iroc2nv is making a set of his own and I believe CrazyHawaiian is also or was. You will also catch alot of heat around here from people on this topic, but good luck and let us know how they turn out, I might be interested.

Alot of people here think they are for imports, and think they dont belong on our cars...

It's a matter of taste. Most domestic owners don't want the import look of the clear lights. Now I can tell you what I don't like about most sets of clear lights. They have a mirror or silver backing making them really bright and shiny. I do not like this. The Lexus IS300 and some other cars that come with them from the factory have a darker backing like a grey or black. This would be ok by me if the same sort of effect could be accomplished on our cars. I just don't like the chrome behind the light look. That's just me though.

I'll keep that in mind while making mine. I know I can do the backing in carbon fiber, but I'm sure there's still people who will say cf is for imports too. Personally I like the clear look either with the crome of cf.

I think the ones with a carbon fiber background look sweet. Definately post pics of yours.

I used to like clear taillights, but I don't anymore. Cops don't particularly like seeing them either so that is something to consider. If you put clears on your car, I won't make a big deal about it. It will just be something about your car that I don't like. Everyone likes different things, but the majority of people don't like them.

I'm probably the most modestly opinionated person here, but there are others that will visciously tell you how much they don't like it so be prepared for that. Personally, I don't see what the big deal about clears are anymore.

someone on here did a photoshop of come clears on there bird and it looks friekn ugly as hell. and if anyone puts them on a domestic has something wrongwith there head. there for import, let them be for import. do u put v-tec motors in our cars to make them ricy? no didnt think so. but if u want to make them go ahead make them put them on and then be ready to be flamed real bad when u finish them who ever finishes theres first.

It really isn't an import thing for me. It's just that the way our tail lights are shaped, it wouldn't look good, no matter what. Maybe carbon fiber.
