polishing plenum
i just started to polish the plenum, its a real pain to do, i started with 120 grit figured that it would be a good place to start.
I cant seem to get rid of these little pits in the aluminum, should I keep sanding, or are these little pits always going to be there and they wont show up to bad later when I apply the polish.

Keep on going. I know what you mean......it seems like it takes forever to get them out but they will eventually. IMO but i think that doing a wet sand takes more off the then dry does. I did last summer......took a while...but definetly worth it. Just take your time and before you know it...youll be seeing yourself in it..

Yeah from the factory....they came molded in plastic...the Z28's were cheated...and got plastic covers... The L98 TPI Corvettes came with Aluminum distributer covers...so....I ordered one for my 1991 Z28 5.7 L98....sanded and sanded...and polished...and it came out pretty sweet..!

Im gunna keep on sanding, if you figure wetsanding would remove more surface area Ill give it a shot, I wasnt going to start wetsanding till 400.
Im going to the autoparts store later and pick up wet 120 and 220.
Any polish recomondations?
