You know they auctioned off all the cars that were used in the movie down here in Miami today......

They kept the originals, but the extra ones they sold, even all the accessories....

P.S. I saw the fliming the other day, THERE ARE MUSCLE CARS......:hail: :hail:, too bad they will probally get ruined or something since the race they are competing in takes place on a highway.....

One thing I found strange....anyone else notice that the black and yellow camaro in the pics has rear drums?? You'd think it would have discs all the way around, given that high performance cars (as I'm sure it's supposed to be in the film) don't have economy brakes....

I rented this new video the other day called, Red Line. Its an aussie flik, and theres a scene with a Nissan something vs a 68 Camaro at a red light. The guy in the camaro looks at the r i c e and tells him" What plastic puke!"

I was laughing so hard...

But all that to say that it wasn't that good a movie anyways.

And I agree, the Vette is painted fugly. The ugliest one though, IMO is that godawful pink thing with the graphic on it. Looks like a wad of bubble gum.

 

I don't think that Camaro is a real Z28. It looks like it is a base model painted fugly. Z28's don't come with drums. Not in the 4th generation of them anyway.

 

Its a 6 banger.

 

I'm not much up on the ryce scene, but I gotta admit...... that first Eclipse is pretty sweet. It certainly puts that 4th gen to shame. Why? Why? Why would someone DO that? :nono:

It's just sad to see the same car (near identical Eclipse) right behind it sporting the albino version. :sillylol: LOL

Heh...I know it's a V6, I was just commenting on why would you put a base model Camaro in a street racing movie? Just seems really stupid...unless it's just there for "window dressing."

The reason why some cars are so crappy is because they are extras...not the main cars of the movie driven by actors. They're just cars to fill the screen so they get people to bring their own cars...therefore some are just plain stupid and true ****.

How else are they gonna show that domestics are slow. If they put a Z28 in there, it would make all those little toy cars look bad.
