This thing is sweeet! LCA relocation brackets installed, fill and drain plugs installed, and the whole thing powder coated black. I would have placed this post in the drivetrain forum, but it looks so good I thought it would be even better in the appearance forum .

Special thanks to Steve Spohn for the hard work he put into making this beauty.

Anyone interested in specs, I will be running 3.70 gears in a 35 spline Detroit Locker. It has fourth gen axle lengths so that I can run my SS wheels on the rear without spacers. Steve did some additional welding and adding of bracing for extra strength. Then he welded on a set of LCA brackets and a fill and drain plug, and powder coated the whole thing.

Stock with a sagging headliner . Only mod is a Momo steering wheel seen here

It's that maroonish color that I don't really like so I plan on replacing the entire interior in the long run. Plans call for some Corbeau seats, a color matched roll bar, and a complete interior color change (maybe bright red to really blind others hehe).

i'm just curious, how much did that rear end cost?

cuz i had the opportunity to buy a 15,000 orig mile iroc back in the summer which was used only as a dragcar its whole life. it had a fresh yellow paintjob (picture doesn't give it justice, it was the same as the porsche2002 color and the guy got it for free) it had a fresh 355 tpi put in it, edelbrock exhaust, a rollbar, a ford 9 inch rear end, fresh yellow paint, a 97 ss hood, everything as far as lcas, sfcs and stuff like that goes. everything on the engine, headers, msd, etc. etc. etc. and he only wanted $5000 canadian for it!!! (which is like $3000 us) i had my money on it, but then i found out all the emission lines and pumps were missing on it so i let it go. the thing even had street slicks on the back. it was nicknamed the nuclear banana

addition: btw this is the same yellow car some of you might have seen in some thirdgen videos doing a big burnout and then getting pulled over by the cops. EXACT same car.

That's disgusting.. the things people spend their money on..

Damn that looks good. I'm curious about the dent though.. The one in your wallet I mean. I want one in a thirdgen offset since I already got wheels in this size.

I'll be running the brakes I have now which are 98+ f-body rear brakes. In the future I would like to upgrade, but the front brakes need it worse than the rear for now. As for the price of the rear end, it varies according to what options you choose, but for one similar to mine you should expect to shell out at least $2600. Yep, ouch!
