Tire size for ZR1's

What size tires should I be looking at to put on my '85 Camaro with some ZR1 rims with 2.25" spacers? The car also has the lower springs on it.

I have 285/40/17 nittos on the rear with a 4th gen rearend so I dont need spacers back there. The right rear tire rubs the quarter panel with a full tank of gas if i hit a big bump. the front I have 275/40/17 nittos with spacers and there is no rubbing at all.

I cant see why they wouldnt fit. That tire shold be the same height as mine. I think any series above 45 will rub and anything wider then what I have will rub the iner part of the wheelwells

Well first off. ZR-1s are 11.5" wide on the back. So if you DO have ZR-1s and not just SS wheels. then go 315 on back and 285 on front.

well i guess you are right kandiedz. zr1 i assume is just the style of the rim. they did come on the 4th gen ss as a 17x9, on the zr1 corvette they were 17x9.5 and 17x11.

I think what the company I am buying them from does is makes the replicas in both sizes. They offer them in 17X9.5 and 17X11. They can be mixed so that they are the same combo the Vette comes with, I chose to go with the 17X9.5 on front and rear though to not have to worry about the space in the rear wells.

The replicas actually have the Corvette emblem on the centere as well, which I am not too fond of as they are not going onto a Vette. Oh well. I can live with it.

chances are if they are replicas they are just stickers, ask for the plain versions. companies will not do anything extra that isn't absolutely necessary.

they are stickers..........you won't save anything.

all the vette wheels are like that, except for the originals.

well first of all they were offered on all kinds of 4thgen late models.....

just look harder. painted are very easy to find, have them polished for cheap if your on a budget.

Try www.camaroz28.com in their classifieds. Or better yet, www.ls1.com I got mine (genuine GM) with good tires for $600 shipped.
