Try to sell it?

For

1.I love it to much (even if it is messed up right now)
2. The thing would turn right back up just like a quiji(sp?) board.
3.No other car is as cool to me as a 3rd gen IROC-Z.
4. It's a chevy
5. Had a chance at a 98 t/a w/ ram air hood...WS6 pack and all...and instead of taking up the payments i kept the z....

I ended up selling my 89 RS, now I have an 84 Z28 which is a major POS, i plan to get a different car next year, i want to aim for a third gen camaro, C3 Vette, 66, or 69 GTO, 66 Chevelle, or save a long *** time and try and get a 2004 GTO, I do love third gens and there is a great chance ill have another one very soon, but the one I have is crap, the LG4 blew last month, now it has a 305 GMC truck engine that is lame

The third gen trans am is all I ever really wanted from the time it rolled off the assembly line back in mid 82' and sooner ro later I got a 84 t/a and it was all good ,it had rebuildt 350 H.O. full cam engine w/ overdrive and we had our good times and bad times and after so long it just worn it self out and I heard stories about people searching for 2 yrs and spending up to $5000.00 or so!...it took me only 2 weeks and $2100.00 bucks to get the 91 t/a though it had all the ground f/x ,I did not like the newer look so I spent the last year converting it into the 82' style but I kept the 91' nose and shaved off the bottom humps and added 82 ground f/x and right now I am looking into changing out the rims too for the 82' turbo fin w/ hubcap style and the seats are done ,they're the "PMD" style seats I got in a junkyard for a hundred bucks cheap!....and if I had to I would do it all again ,I still have to swap out the interior from black to tan real soon!

My 1988 GTA was the first car I bought out of my own money. That was five years ago. Alot of people I know have sold their thirdgens but mine is still here. A thirdgen Trans Am or Formula is BY FAR my favorite car on the road! And like everyone the bug to have something different seems to come up again and again. I even had her for sale last summer, but when the phone calls came in asking about her I told them they had the wrong number! So when it came along again this year I gave in...kind of. In my garage sits my '88 GTA, but a 1995 Camaro Z28 convertible sits next to it! hehehehe So I did give in to the bug, sorta. I haven't driven my GTA at all this summer but sell my GTA....never!! That car will be my 3 year old sons graduation gift!

I swore I would not buy another camaro after I put my first third gen in a tree at 80+ mph. Two months to the day I bought my second and current third gen camaro, back in 95'. I don't think I would give "HER" up for anything in the world. O.K. maybe for a million bucks

88 since 95

I've had my '88 Formula since I was 16 in '95, wrecked it by hitting a deer. Only had liability ins. on the car so was forced to park it in '99. Moved away from home in '00 and had to leave the car behind. Dad tried countless times to sell the car, swore he could get $2000 out of it, but of course never did. The whole time I was begging him to keep it and not get rid of it on me because I KNEW one day I would be able to turn 'her' into a project car. Finally in May, almost 4 years later, I went back to Oklahoma and hauled the car to Michigan. Now I'm driving it again 'til the engine craps out on me while I'm still working on affording a paint job. Once this engine goes(it's got 168,000)I'll just dump another one in it. I figure if I can keep dad from selling it for 4 years all I have to do is keep it running and I'll have it forever
