Well, lets here good and bad. I also have a TB plate coming from MBA Products with a custom flag. Excuse the messiness didn't have a chance to clean it up before photo.
Getting rid of the AIR pump really cleans the area up nicely. I like what you did with the chrome covers, red wires and the blue breather and clamp fittings on the heater hoses!!!
The runners... Man, those things are just smacking you right in the face! Maybe if they were the tube-type it wouldn't look too bad, but you have a lot of flat area on those runners. I think if you were to polish the hell out of them, along with the plennum, it would make a really big difference.
Seeing that you have the A/C and ALT brackets painted orange, I would either polish or paint the pullys gloss black. Having the pullies the same color kind makes it look like a heavy equipment motor where everything is just sprayed one color.
Polish your TPI system and it'll look sharp as heck and really bring out that flag! (BTW, that's an awesome idea!! :hail: )
Personally, I love seeing contrasting colors on an engine. You're heading in the right direction!!! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the input, the color didn't come out very good in the photo. That "orange" looks ALOT more like red in person. Man I tried polishing those runners at first, whew, those castings are rough,I may end up doing that when I have the top of the plenum powdercoated white(maybe), oh yeah I also have a new aluminum plenum extention,I will either finishing polishing that and the plenum or PC both.
That shot looks a lot better. You can actually see the shine on the runners! With that picture I do like the painted runners. Now you just have to polish the plenum to all hell and she'll look awesome!
Hint: Take an old soft toothbrush to the heater control valve and clean it up a bit. You can also use the same brush on the air intake tube going to the TB. It's little areas like that which become noticeable when the rest of thte engine looks awesome.

thanks for the toothbrush idea. I haven,t yet decided if I'm going to polish the stock TB(it's getting restrictive) or wait till I have the new one. With the plate iam going to put in it I'll almost have to polish it.
PS Thanks Scania Always good to know the thirdgens have worldwide appreciation.

It can't be any worse than mine!, but all that is about to change come warmer weather. I must have been color blind for awhile. I don't really like your color scheme, but I can't talk about it considering the my rainbow color scheme.

I am changing the colors soon. I ordered the different colors at different times and the colors seemed to work out in my head. I a have no idea why I choose those colors.
The different colors correspond to different sizes. What I have planned for my engine bay will be an improvement.
L98FORM89,
I would add some more polished parts. The polished parts will make the colors stand out better. It didn't notice that since you have a white car, your color scheme is patriotic - nothing wrong with that.
