Thats terrible , I cant imagine wrecking my gta...
Though, if its not your fault it could turn out to be a good thing. You could get the insurance to pay for the car and then you could part it out.

Here's the story
I was driving to school. Took exit 138 off of the GSP, there was black ice all over, was going no more than 20mph. I see an Astro van ahead coming the other way, it stops and starts turning into a parking lot right in front of me. I started slowing down as soon as I saw her but she basically stayed (going really slow) there and i hit her side door. my car did a 90 degree turn and the *** was sticking in the middle of the street. Took the cops 20-30 minutes to get there.
The car looks like its totalled. The bumper, hood, fender, radiator support and tire are gone. The windshield is cracked because the right side fender support is pushed up and back. That seal thats on the firewall is cracked.
Well i'm okay, just really pissed. This just gives me more reason to get the Vette.
Laters,
Dave

Thanks guys. I will have another third-gen one, a really nice one. This really sucks, last year i put in the 350, the system and now its useless. All that work went to *** itself.

Good luck in dealing with your loss. Hopefully you can buy it back from the insurance company and turn a profit from parting it out to help you get that vette you mentioned. It looked really nice. Sad to see it go.

Insurance is being really gay, havn't even been able to contact them. There is a lot of parts that i could sell, and thats what i plan to do.
I'll let you know more when i know more.

Sorry about your car but the moral of the story here is to spend the $500 and get a winter beater. $500 worth of prevention is worth 10 times that when it comes to your pride and joy.

I'd love to get a winter beater, but after driving one for 2 1/2 years strait I'd rather drive a good car again. Or find me a beater camaro, RS to slightly fix up as a winter beater.

Sorry about your loss. All the more reason to get a beater for the winter. 88 Iroc in the summer, 90 Corsica in the winter. A Vette wouldn't be so bad

yea investing in a winter beater is the best idea, i haven't done it only because i don't have money but in the winter i try not to drive that much anyway so it really doesn't matter but sorry to hear that your insurance is being gay but if you have to part it out let us know what you have and prices.

Guess you won't be hanging out with us lowly f-body owners any more.
Good luck with the Vette and give that f-body in the lane next to you a break. Remember, you were once one of us also.

I still love fbody's, especially 3rd gens. One day i'll own a 10 second GTA. And i'll still hang around with you guys, have been for the past 4 years, so might as well.
I still cannot believe how much different it is driving the Vette than it was the trans am.
The Vette is a 1993 LT1, auto, 49K miles, leather, and other stuff. I literally stole the car, $11K
