They want almost 10,000 for a 12.0 second car. They wasted their money on that car if you ask me.

Although I agree they made their mistakes, the car is probably worth close to it... assuming the body is in good condition and interior and such. A 396 with GEN 7 DFI and a super ram was it? Is it cheap, not to mention the rest of the items. I won't say I'd pay 10,000 but there is probably over that invested.

Actually, after reading their ad, and seeing exactly what they have in terms of the engine... that's not a bad deal at all.

Actually it runs consistant low, low 12s with no power adders. It has broken into the high 11's on occasion. Keep in mind that the project called for a COMPLETELY smog-legal setup. This car is smog certified in NJ.

I think that mostly it just has some tuning issues. Its a steal IMO because the motor, DFI, and full BAER brake setup are worth more than $10 alone. That's not counting the bulet proof tranny, new interior, suspension, and wheels and tires.

They have also listed it here in the classifieds. Here is a list of mods:

396 Engine: - block machined, torque-plate honed and blueprinted, .030 over - Pro-Gram Engineering billet main caps - Cola forged race crank, 3.875-inch stroke - Lunati Pro Mod billet rods - custom Lunati forged pistons (11.1:1 compression) - CNC-ported hand-finished AFR 190 cylinder heads - ported ACCEL SuperRam intake - 1000-cfm ACCEL throttle body - 26 lb./hr. ACCEL injectors - mild custom Competition Cams hydraulic roller camshaft - Comp Cams Pro Magnum stainless steel rocker arms - Comp Cams heavy-duty hydraulic roller lifter conversion kit - Engine dynoed at 485 hp w/holley carb and single-plane manifold - custom 4-inch inlet pipe & K&N filter - air conditioning converted to R134a refrigerant - SLP 1 ¾-inch Jet-Hot coated headers - SLP stainless cat-back exhaust (TOTL) - twin high-flow Random Technologies catalytic converters - Evans/Griffin aluminum radiator - Evans water pump & pulley - Spal dual electric fans

I've read up on it a few times, it does seem to have tuning issues which they talk about in this months issue. The wide band O2 sensor was not working properly and a few other things. All in all, if I had the money I would buy it, do some minor work to it and add about $750 worth of Funny Fumes and be in the high 10's. But I'm not being realistic so...

I wonder if they are throwing in the "Crack Pipe". LOL

It would cost you 20K + to duplicate this car.

It is a total deal!!

The motor alone is about $5,000+. The DFI is another $2,500, the roll cage $1,500, the car itself $5,000, rims&tires $2,000,etc...

"They want almost 10,000 for a 12.0 second car. " Jeeeeeez....

Sorry but its slow for all of the money they spent. I could make a TPI car go 12's with less than $5000 investment. A 396 should pull 11's all day long.

I think the car is worth $10,000 to the right person, but not to me.

Guess what? In the May 2003 issue coing out now, it pulled an 11.96 e/t.

Ok, so the car doesn't run 9's for $10,000. The whole suspension is done, interior redone, etc....

Look past the e/t and you will find a total bargain!

Hmmmmm....maybe I need a parts car for my Formula....
