i have photoshop 5.5 but how do i change colors of my car and change rims and stuff?

Do a search, there are a couple of sites that have been put up with directions on how to do pretty much everything. I just didnt bookmark any of them.

duplicate the original layer and apply color filters to it until the body color looks good to you (or is at least very different from the original). then use the lasso / erase tools to "cut out" the area around the car / the windows, etc.

this way, the duplicated layer will only have the body-sections of your car on it, and you can change the color filters/settings of that layer without changing the background of the picture.
