But if I were to make my car even more attractive I'd definitely put the firehawk rims on it. If it gets more people to stare then that's kool, but I'd be doing it for me, cuz I love the way these cars look with those rims.

umm know its from the 80's
her confused Huh? There is nothing worth more than the privilage of owning an F-Body
i think my security system makes my car seem like its worth more, what would go along these lines to make it seem its worth more dual power seats, i dont have pw seats now, im trying to figure out what makes say a new 4th gen seem so sweet, i want that feeling in my thirdgen. Does a new paint job and everything new have alot to do with it?

Hmm... how about actually having tons of cash? That would prolly be the best way :P
I guess you could always get a window sticker that says 'I've got tons of cash', too

I dont mod my car to impress others, but I do know to get alot of looks you have to have the complete package. Its takes more than one thing to make others 'want your car' as you put it.

1. Actually place tons of cash inside the car, in plain view.
2. Trade it in on a Mercedes Benz or a BMW.

I think its safe to say that not many people are going to look at a 12+ year old car and say "Damn that dude's got some cash", unless its being pulled on a trailer by a Cadillac Escalade.

Its weird. By car isnt worth crap. But people who dont really know too much about cars think I got rich parents. BUt Ya....Keep the car clean, nice paint, nice wheels. And one of my secrets for interior. I go buy new floor matts like every season....but NOT rubber ones. I always buy carpeted ones that match my interior. And people always notice something looks better! And I paid $4500 for my car CANADIAN. Which is about $3000 American. And my rims and paint cost me $2000 Canadian. Which is about $1300 American. And everyone thinks I dumped big cash into it.
LoL, I can't believe it didn't click that FlyinLow and that car were yours....I just didnt think about it, but I seen some pics of that car a long time ago and I think its one of the coolest firebirds I've ever seen.

i'm gonna have to say i'm with jim also i mean it should mean enough that your driving around in a thirdgen don't try and make it something it isn't yea sure here and there some mods make it look sharp but it's all about the thirdgen mantality i mean i live in a small *** town where i have just about the only thirdgen in town and looks half way decient and people always stare as i go by but when i get into a bigger town no one really cares and that doesn't bother me because i know that i like my car no matter what they have to say.

And I put my time and moneyu to make it looks the way it does. Why do you wear the clothes you wear? Do you walk around in track pants and a tshirt all day? Isnt it enough being you?

I agree with Dingley way up there, keeping it clean works wonders.
i disagree, there is nothing wrong with wanting a car or making your thirdgen into a car that everyone turns and looks with appreciation. it does have alot to do with what you choose to put on your car and how you go about it though.
i can't stop at a redlight without someone commenting about my car and when i go to get gas.....forget about it. it doesn't matter wether i'm cruising next to a 96 viper or a old panel wagon; everyone looks and smiles.
while i don't build my car to follow what others like, i do take certain things into consideration as a nice comment is better than any trophy one can recieve. all of you can say what you want about building the car for yourself and how you don't care what people think, but deep down i bet you do care......
be careful what you wish for though.....at the world of wheels in detroit over the weekend i had a pimp dressed in red who wouldn't leave me alone for over an hour. he even asked if his "girl" could take pictures with the car. i said sure until i noticed the 3" nails!
as far as fitting in with the more "expensive" cars like bmw and mercedes......who really cares as you can't touch a quality version for less than 80,000 and everyone else who drives the lower number versions just bought them to look like they have money. love your car for what it is and build it to your style that suits you. the compliments and good gestures will come later.

Wanna look like you have tons of cash:
Cadillac Escalade riding on 22's
No really, just keep it clean, get some nice wheels and that is it. I personally think that thirdgens are very good looking cars. If done right they can look very sporty, classy, and mean all at the same time. Flyinlow89's car is a perfect example. He did not spend alot of money, but it looks like he did and his car looks FANTASTIC!!

I agree that keeping it clean, inside and out is the best way to make it look good, and get the attention, and stares as you go by.
But if you just want it make you look like you'r loaded, pour some $$$ into it.

joshp14 is right.
And I agree with Kandied91z on the whole do it your way. It's ok to follow the lead a little so you fit if thats what you want. But build it to your desire, not others. It's your time, your money, and your car. Live the moment, love the moment, and race at a moments notice!
