? about painting ta grid lights

Anyone ever paint the grid design on their ta tailights, like on the outside? Then maybe clearcoat the whole thing...As opposed to buying new ones or trying to mess with the pressed plastic. How did it look when done? thanks...

pretty sure hes trying to say paint the outside plastic that faces out and then put a clearcoat over that for protection instead of removing the grid and painting the inside...tell me if im wrong.

yeah, thanks 90..thats what I'm talkin about. I dont have the funds to buy new ones, and I dont want to go through alot of hassle to get them lookin un-faded....just thought it could be a viable solution!

are they faded or what? how are you going to pain them just like the little individual squares or how? i'd paint them on the inside but that's just my preferense.

I don't have any good pictures to show you guys, but you know how the plastic starts to peel apart and you get some parts that are black, and some that are blotchy looking? I'm treying to get rid of that, and it doesnt seem that painting the inside would work, unless you shaved the raised grid inside down. And that''s just too much work for my lazy a$$

I saw a post yesterday that I Think was Redraif's car, and she painted the lines red. And it was the base tailights, but thats the general idea, only I want to do black.

Anyways, I think I'm gonna go out tommorrow and get some black paint, ,and I'm gonna pick up some paint remover ant the same time, and just do it, and if it looks like crapI'll just take it off. If it works ok, I'll try to post some pics of it Thanks guyys!
