anyone have anything airbrushed on car?

anyone ever airbrushed on the car?

i have been wanting some custom firebird emblems on the side of teh car (small) , and havent seen anything like i want. (now i have cheap stickers there. i had something going with a guy on the boards to make some gel/plastic type emblems, but it fell through.

anyways, i have the skills necessary to do some subtle firebirds on the side of teh car, maybe ghosted or something like that. i think it would look very custom and cool, but i am a little standoffish about the permanence.

just wondering if anyone else has airbrushed anything over old paint.

or maybe color change style...whatcha think?

as of now, the only airbrushing i have done on my ride is a front plate i made...it is the bird, like these, but colored with more traditional flame colors, on a black plate.

When I had my '83 Trans am with the powerbulge hood I wanted to get something airbrushed on the hood after I was finished with my planned project. It had the powerbulge hood...and I wanted to have a screaming chicken on the bulge itself with flames running down the scoop...I wanted it to all be in ghost...so it didnt stand out too much. I wanted something subtle...I figured it would catch a lot of peoples eyes. One day when I get another thirdgen TA with a powerbulge hood Ill do that.

James

heres a pic of my TA before it was in the accident

As a matter of fact I just got my car back from the paint shop. I had my car repainted and the whole front end is nothing but airbushed flames and skulls. I will post some pictures as soon as possible.

i was thinking about getting the bird on my hood and the emblems like on the side that say trans-am and the little birds on the side panals all redone with air brush only because right now they are decals and they are peeling off and look really stupid but than again i was thinking of getting the emblems off of a newer trans-am the raised ones and putting them on by the doors but i don't know for sure what i want to do what do you guys think i should do?

i dont like how the air brushed graphics look. whenever i see them people always go overboard with the graphics.people never just do a simple one. they look crappy. to this day i have never seen one i like. i would be impressed if i saw one i liked.the guys with the world trade centers wrecked his car . that air brushing looks so bad on a car . out of respect it is a nice thing to do but why on a nice car.

I think it looks good. And I applaud him for paying for it to be done. The flag itself looks pretty good too.

It's not quite airbrush, but I'm going to paint this on my center caps. I might look into getting them airbrushed instead, I like their detail. Hmm, now you have something for me to think about.

This is just a quickie MS Paint conception. I have drawn a lot of pics and had practice, so it will come out lookin good. But I still like the airbrush.

i meant the twin towers picture, things of like that dont belong on cars, they belong on canvas and the take away from the asthetics of the car . it makes the car look funny .
