Should I get the Eibach pro-kit or sportlines?

What do you guys think, which spring should I go with? The pro-kit is on sale at thunderracing till tuesday. I'm just worried I'm gonna get the pro-kit and it won't be droped enough. Or, I could go with those dropzone springs. The stance looks pretty good on them, but the people with them here have barely driven their cars since they installed them, and I'm not sure if that's as much as they will drop.

prokit - name, quality, considered 'the best'
sportline - name, quality, more drop
dropzone - low price (101$), unknown quality

What do you guys think I should do?

I have the pro kit on my Iroc. You can check it out here: http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/specinvst...src=ph&.view=t I like them, but I kind of wish the back end was dropped a bit lower. The front doesn't look like it could be dropped much more...

I have the pro-kit on mine. Pictures on the web site in my sig. I personally think if my car was any lower it would be a huge pain. I'm running Monroe Sensatrac shocks.

What shocks/struts do you guys run, and do you have the coil spring isolators still? 87rediroc, your front end looks like it sits REALLY low... that seems like a bit much for the pro-kit, don't you think?

Hg, I run Koni adjistable shocks. I think it sits real low in the front, but its been like that since day 1. Can't figure out why I got such a drop up front. I agree with cg91ta, any lower and it would be a real pain to get around town. ..but my front end looks a bit lower than his. Hope this helps...

WTF is going on with these springs. Some people say they don't notice any drop then others like 87 here looks like he's got a springs that's lower than the sportlines...never mind the pro kit.

Did they maybe give you the wrong part number? I've NEVER seen an Eibach pro kiit lowered that much in the front. Hope you have a bump stop kit.

I used the sportlines on my old 84 (1992 Z28 Clone)..it sat pretttttty low.....but..looked very aggressive. I'll probably go with the pro-kit on my new 91 Z28.....here is my old car...

I agree Steve89GTA, WTF is going on with these springs...but I'm not complaining. I'll double check the box, but it was the pro-kit last time I checked...I think. By the way, what is a bump stop kit?

Probably a stupid question, but do you have to get new shocks/struts when you lower a car? I want to drop my car this spring, but i'm a poor college kid and can't afford to put a lot of money into it. Will I be ok if i just go with the pro-kit springs?

I didn't have to buy new shocks or struts for my car when I had it lowered with the sportlines.....

i think the reason that sometimes no can notice a difference in the drop is because since are cars older the stock springs a worn out.

I had owned a set of dropzone springs in the past and I was very satisfied with them. However, they weren't on my F-body so I can't say how they will look or feel in yours. I had them on my '96 GMC Sonoma. I have to say the ride quality was great and the look was even better.

I did buy the sport line springs for my 91 Z28. I have not yet installed them due to time and money. I will be installing them shortly after getting my car prepainted in the next couple of weeks. (I hope I have enough left over for a set of wheels as well.) I liked the sportline springs because I thought the lower drop was more aggressive looking. However, my Z28 is not a daily driver. If I drove mine daily, I would go with the pro line.

Just my $0.02.

I dont think you HAVE to get new shocks and struts, but it would certainly help. What you DO need to get though, is an adjustable panhard rod and maybe even some new tubular control arms. That should have you pretty much set.

They don't list the dropzone springs for the sonoma, are you sure that's what you had? I'm stuck between the pro-kit and the dropzones now...

I am pretty positive they were Dropzones. However, that was back in 1996.

I have the sportlines and I like them a lot. I scrape every now and again but when I go slow it is no big deal. You cannot fly out of parking lots and driveways or you will hardcore, but that is typical with all thirdgens regaurdless of ride hieght.

I just ordered me the pro kit. Although I have no idea how I'm gonna pay for it since I don't have enough, lol. But I figured it's unlikely I'll get the same set for less than $195 anywhere else. Hopefully they'll get here by this weekend.

I know it's taboo around here... but I cut my factory springs.

It's hard to tell how low it is from that picture, but there were no driveability problems whatsoever. I actually had less scrapage and grounding out than my dad did in his stock sprung '87 RS.
