paint defect (water spots?) question

quick quesition about my paint. my paint looks great from a distance, but when you get up close, there are alot of little white spots, look kinda like water spots but i'm not sure if they are. i heard from a buddy that waterspots are just in the clearcoat, not in the paint, and if i get the clearcoat removed and reapplied, my paint will look awesome...is this true? i don't wanna dish out $600-700 if i can spend $200 to make it look just as good..thanks yall

You may be able to just have the car buffed out, instead of getting the clear coat removed, if that is even possible, without removing the base. Take it to a detailer and have them buff it out. My friend has a 94 Suzuki Swift, yeah i know. Well I used my high powered buffer with some Meguirs number 3, and it turned out awesome, no mor ewaterspots that wouldn't come out.

try a fine abrasive wax. if that doesn't work, then i would try buffing it.

that might be oxidation, try some rubbing compound and really work it into the paint. then buff it off, that should solve your prob.
