Hey man, I like the look of those, where did you get them at? Being called Boom tubes, do they alter the exhaust note at all. For some reason the tips that came with my flowmaster cat-back come straight out, then angle down , I'd really like to get dual 3" pipes with none of this angling down nonsense. Does anyone sell ones that I can bolt right to the muffler, or is cutting and welding my only option? Maybe like Midas or somebody local where you don't have to wait a couple days for them to get there (It always seems to take forever for mail-order parts )

mine are the same as AJ_92RS...i actually used to have a purple RS too but this is a diff angle..and mine are tucked under a little where there welded so u cant see the weld and they get a little more clearance when pullin in on an angle.

And would I need to cut the 18" or so of chrome off my my existing pipes after they leave the muffler and weld these in, or can I simply unbolt the two pipes coming out from the muffler and bolt the new ones up?

they are weld ons, but they would look really good because the pipe would go all the way, or pretty close, to the muffler so you wouldnt really see the weld. i think you can buy parts that allow you to screw them in, but you would have to drill holes in the boomtube. im sure that midas or minute muffler or wwhoever would weld these on for really cheap.

The place I got my muffler put on custom bent the 2.5 in primary from the muffler, bent it nice so it tucked under, welded it on and gave me the the 3.5 x 18 chrome tips. I got it at Mighty Muffler....dont know if they have those there, but it was like $30 per tip with the custom bent primary and installation.

I got a 89 Formula and am in the proccess of putting 91 TA GFX's and a rear bumper on. I think I may have a problem with clearance with the buttom of the back bumper. If I do should i cut the bumper a lil bit, I wanna put the 4th gen rectangle kind on that are like 100bucks.
