My 84 S/E is gone!

After owning this car for a year I have finally sold it. I have been able to work on it over the year but it just came down to, I have no money!

I bought the car in september of 2001 for $500 and it was sad. My father in law and I got it running great again after investing about $300 into it. It just needed the body work and paint to finish it off.

I just sold the car 3/19/03 for $950.

Sad to see it go but now I can focus on my 84 Iron Duke.

Just thought I would share the news..

here's what she looked like when I sold it.

later!

Did the new owner mention what he was going to do with it? Continue fixing it or just drive it? Did you remember to tell him about thirdgen.org?

I can't even think about selling my car - too many memories. It would be like selling a family member - I just can't do it.

he didn't seem too into car stuff. Actually the car was for his girlfriend. He didn't know much about them or if he did, he didn't relay it to me.

He mentioned getting the body and paint work done. I really would like to see him finish the job, but Im going to say that it wont get done.

As far as feeling bad for selling it, I really don't. It was just a side project I picked up to give me some "wrench turning time".

Now if I had to sell my other 84 IRON DUKE, that's when I would get into some trouble.

Later,
bill

I know a guy who bought a car very simular to yours (almost the same original color) for his G/F. Had the plans of fixing it up and making it into a nice ride. Well last I saw it it was still the same color lots of rust, and had a big chunk of fibre glass over the rear wheel wells.

It sucks having to let a car go. I wish I had of done what you did. Had another car to back up on. Now I am carless, and still hunting. Its hard to find a car when you want one.
