Getting my windows tinted Thursday and was wondering how dark I shoulod get it. I live in Texas where i know their is some law on how dark you can get it but I have no clue what it is.

 

20%, nice look and you can still see out w/o issues. just my $.02

 

If you look at threads from the past week or so, you'll see that I had the same dilemma last Thursday. I went with 20%, and as long as the cops continue to leave me alone...I'd say it's the way to go. It's light enough that on a bright day, you can see right through both windows to the other side of the car. Yet if you look at it at an angle it looks pitch black. And at night you have to get right up to the car and strain to make out what's inside, but when you're driving it's not too dark to see out at all.

 

Yeah 20% on the sides is good and 5% on the back, thats what I have:

 

well HITHERE decided on what shade of tint to get. 20% on the sides and 5% on the back, is there HITHERE 15% tint or no?

15% is the way to go.... it's on mine all around, not too hard to see and pretty dark....
