Bumper guard going down side of car

I was fixing to get my car ready to paint and was wondering if anybody has removed the strip going from the back of the front fender to the front of the quarter in the middle of the car, I was going for a real solid look and just want to know if anybody else has done this and how did you like it afterwards??

Yea the three piece side molding really dont want to bother sanding around it and have to worry about it being there. Car looks good you got the right color on there. Anybody else done it??

Many users have left them off when painting their cars. I was thinking I would'nt put mine on either, until I thought about how much worse a giant dent in my door would look as a pose to the bump strips. My car did'nt have them when I got it, so I'm trying to find the one last peice I need to have both sides. All I need is one of the small strips measuring about 3 inches; from either the front fender, or behind the door (I believe they're the same.) PM or IM me if anyone has any they want to get rid of.

what happened when you took them off? did they leave any marks or holes from mounting holes? or are they just adhered using a glue? and how do i take them off, just rip gently?
