A virus
If it was one of those scripts that opens your CD-ROM, I would suggest that anyone who used it run a virus scan. It may seem innocent however I used to have one that was supposedly made bye "coca cola" and although it was cute, it was considered to be a virus by my scanners.

what end users don't realize is that antivirus programs do not only scan files they also suggest things, as in "are you sure you want open it ?" etc... Just because your antivirus says something is a virus doesn't mean that it is.

script that opens up cd-rom bays will not do any harm unless it is intended to cause harm in other ways.

think of antivirus software as the roman emperor nero (for those that failed that HS history class, nero was a pretty paranoid **** , lol)

person with common sense can protect himself as well as any antivirus can.

Poorly written scripts can cause problems(like a lock-up or shutdown) even if that wasn't intended.

That crappy script has been around for at least 5 years. It spread around my work in Phoenix, crapped out 3 servers. As stated above, check your computers, check them twice actually.
