i'm a moron

a bird crapped on my top (gotta love when that happens) and like an idiot i scrubbed it off with a wet paper towel. now i have little pieces of paper towel fuzzies permanently glued to my top. i've scrubbed and scrubbed with rags and brushes and lots of water and soap, and i can't get all of the remainders of the paper towel off. so now i have a tan top with a white patch in the middle of it. any ideas how to get this off?

I think 3M makes a convertible top cleaner, either them or Meguiar's makes one too. Have you tried using one of those lint removers that you just roll over your clothes to take off the lint? Try one of those maybe those'll work. I heard something about using vinegar on bird poop since its mostly nitric acid and the basic properties of the vinegar woudl neutralize the acid. Not entirely positive though.

Whenever a bird craps on my top, I take it to the car wash and use a pressure washer to get it off.
