my windshield looks like ars....

So I was wondering if there were any aftermarket windshields that I could buy and install my self instead of going to a shop. Have any of you heard of such a thing?

Thanks

you can do one of two things.

#1 buy a honda, their winsheilds give you an extra 75HP
#2 pay your deductable and get a new windheild for $100

I think you should probably just leave installing the windshields to the ones who know what they are doing. Its not really that expensive either..

I got a new one installed in my car for under $100. I think it was right about $75 or so. Just let the pros do it. Much easier.

I'd let the pros do it. If it leaks or messes up it should be under warrnty so they'd have to replace it for free.

Yeah that is definately one of the things I'd rather spend the extra money on and let the pros handle it.

Getting a new windshield installed professionally is cheap enough that unless you know what you're doing, it's not worth it. It's not terribly difficult, but the glass is VERY important on a unibody car. The glass is part of the car's structural integrity, and if you don't use the right windshield adhesive or install it right, your car can crumble in an accident.

But... as long as you buy the proper windshield adhesive and install it properly, it should be fine, although it's not like you're going to save a lot of money.
