So I was wondering if there were any aftermarket windshields that I could buy and install my self instead of going to a shop. Have any of you heard of such a thing?
Thanks

I got a new one installed in my car for under $100. I think it was right about $75 or so. Just let the pros do it. Much easier.

Yeah that is definately one of the things I'd rather spend the extra money on and let the pros handle it.

Getting a new windshield installed professionally is cheap enough that unless you know what you're doing, it's not worth it. It's not terribly difficult, but the glass is VERY important on a unibody car. The glass is part of the car's structural integrity, and if you don't use the right windshield adhesive or install it right, your car can crumble in an accident.
But... as long as you buy the proper windshield adhesive and install it properly, it should be fine, although it's not like you're going to save a lot of money.
