Fog Light reconditioning? Any tips?
I have a 92 z-28 w/ factory fogs. I know I'll take them off, scuff them down and re-spray them. Are there any tips on how to make the lenses look new? I don't want to shell out $100.ea lamp. I'm getting my car painted in 2-3 weeks, I have all new headlights, parking lights, grille, sidemarkers. I just need the ogs to look new. Any help would be awesome, thanx as always....

I'm pretty sure they have some glass / plastic polish, even think they sell a kit for it. It's not expensive from what I remember.
It worked for me AWHILE back when I polished the scratches etc out of a windshield in and old truck I had.

It all depends on how bad off the stock lenses are. If they're mildly dull with a few scratches, they can be cleaned up very well with toothpaste and a buffing wheel... Heavier scratches can be removed with rougher polishes working towards the light stuff (be sure to use a new buffing wheel for each grit of polish). Really heavy marks need to be removed with sandpaper first, then move to polishes...
