painting grid style lights

hey guys... i have a 1991 z28 with the factory grid style lights...well now that the car is 12 yrs old the black paint is coming off the grids...my question is has anyone attempted to paint the grids themselves?? im thinkin either spend all day tapin the whole tail light off n sprayin the whole thing...or buying black model paint...what u guys think?? oh ya what type of paint would you reccomend??

welcome and id say tape it off and just spray it wont take long just tape the edges and use newspaper only took me 10 min for each wheel adn thats a **** load more taping then u will have to do. vht ur tails why ur at it
blackout tails looks sick in my opinon
