B&M shifter Results
I just put my b&m Megashifter in and it took longer then i thought and it was a pretty hard thing to do.I still have to put the plates on it. My feelings are half and half about it. The directions sucked. Also when shifhting from park to od it takes some muscle. when i shift from reverse to od its like its in nuetral. Oh and the red paint around the B&M I painted black(my Cars Black) Does anyone have the same problems or what please share!

Do a search for megashifter and you'll find tons of info. Some people hate them, some love them. I like mine alot but they can be finicky. Make sure the shifter cable isn't pinched between the trans and tunnel, and that it's not kinked.
The adjustment by the trans seems to be very sensitive so adjust by one turn at a time and try it in park down to first.
I replaced the cable it came with and used one of their short heavy duty ones. Slightly hard to bend it the way I wanted, like a weak backwards "S" from the shifter to the trans but it made the tightness coming out of park and all around so much better.
Also, make sure you use thread lock on that T-handle or it will come loose, they all do. I used red locktite and really tightened the hell out of the jam nut. Hasn't come loose since.

They aren't made to shift easy. However, mine shifts much easier after I installed a different handle(bigger). Your local parts store should have(or can get) a B&M "Hammer" shift handle. Like he said above, the adjustment is critical.

It will be stiff to begin with. I noticed that when I did mine. It was so bad that I thought I did something wrong. Give it a week or 2 and it should become a lot smoother and easier to change gears.
