engines with very little wiring?
engines with very little wiring?
anyone have an engine bay that has the majority of wires hidden or have pictures of said vehicles.............. i'm trying to go through and get my engine bay as clean as possible by hiding all of my wires and as many of the boxes as possible. just would like to see what everyone else has done or seen.
no empty engine bays either guys!!

That's a rough gig Kandied. I had most of my wires hidden when I first dropped my engine in BUT as I would have problems I would end up pulling up the wires to fix/mod things. Now, it's not that clean looking anymore. When I get around to the dual TBI, I'm going to try again.

You can't really see any of my wiring, I have one large black loom tucked in the back that runs from underneath the heater box, behind the engine and then under the brake booster and MSD box. The only wires I have on the engine is a small thin black loom for the alternator, and one wire running thru some aluminum fuel line under the headers for a temp sender. But that said I am carbed, and I got rid of all the unecessary wiring on the car.
None of the pics I have show it very well.

There really isn't a lot you can do with a TPI car to hide the wiring. On mine I put the injector wiring behind the runners, and the wiring that runs along the valve covers was tucked into place at the base of the runners before the valve covers were installed so that their visibility was kept to a minimum.

There are some pictures of a car with a boxed engine bay.
I am going to see if I can find them since I haven't seen them, just heard about them.

. My wiring started out a tangled web just as any other f-body's harness is. Every wire has been cut and relocated. I moved the relays where the MSD is to the inner fender opening where the airbox (that might get finished sometime) is. The EVAP stuff is in the same area. I welded a strap to the frame to hold the canister in place. Most all the ECM wiring now runs through the transmission tunnel and down the center of the intake. I have turned the injectors towards the center of the intake to hide the plugs as well. The headlight module has been moved to the inside of the car also. None of it is all that difficult, just very time consuming. I really hated looking at wires GM just threw at the motor and plugged in though so I didn't mind much. Supreme Member
