In the rain of course. Thankfully no one was injured. Ironically, i was gonna get the car painted this week. Since the body shop is right next door to me, he let me store it there for the weekend. So far no frame damage, but radiator support, bumper, both fenders, hood and windshield need to be replaced. Since i get discounts at the shop for parts i can get all for a total of $384.00 which is nice. By next tuesday she should be all fixed and and painted.

45? That looks like 20mph worth of damage, TOPS. Hell, my GTA was almost that bad and I think it was in a 10 or 15mph collision. The GTA didn't look as bad as that, and in addition to a fender and complete headlight assembly, I also needed a bumper cover, steel bumper, and had to pull the radiator support almost an inch.

It wouldn't appear so bad if people would hit other things, like telephone poles or mailboxes... but EVERYBODY seems to be hitting trees

That's pretty good price on parts.
This is a pic of my accident a few months ago, sliding sideways at 70+mph into a guard rail. $4600 to fix.

The 40 mph looks worse then the 70 mph.
Glad to hear everything can be fixed for a nice price.

$1250 shipped for everything needed to change the front end and $500 for the hood, so $1800 or so for everything shipped from Speed Automotive.
The price on the 96 parts the shop replaced was $2600.
Last time I checked $1800 wasn't more than $2600.
They send Speed Automotive a check and then canceled the order without telling us.
The 98+ Conversion is a direct bolt on. I am still ticked at the shop. They tossed out the 96 T/A bumper cover that I told them numerous times that I wanted. Was going to use that as a template for my 98+ nose conversion on my 86.

Thanx, that $384.00 quote was for body parts alone, since i work at the shop and get a 30% discount off original price. As i went in the shop, i saw the driver side fender, reinforment bar, parking lamps. I was told that the rest of the parts should be in by tomorrow. Theres some dings and dents to repair and repainting the whole car. Total $1200 for the bodywork and painting. Im still at a loss on which color to go with though. Either:
A. Metallic Blue
B.Sebring Silver

How about my 93 Z28 when I spun out in the rain and hit a guardrail around 65mph... at an angle... The car kinda wedged in there... I made it out without any major injuries, and so did my passengers.

Vortech305, did you hit the tree head on or sideswipe it?
Masterevilace, I know a guy here who wrapped his 86 sport coupe around a light pole a few months back. Interestingly enough, swerved off the road to keep from hitting some POS truck and ended up totalling his car instead. It's o.k. tho, if assisted suicide were legal, I think he's camaro would have wanted to die anyway.
