Sleeper look

Might get my car painted (I've said this before) before it starts looking really bad. Car is an 88 IROC--dark red

Thinking about making it look like one of those "California Irocs", the ones made in 85--with no rear spolier, flat hood and no decals/pinstripes

Anyone got pics of Camaros without rear spoilers?
(or more of those California Irocs)

I say go for it. I was very tempted to leave the spoler off when I had her repainted. I traded in the Iroc louvered hood for a flat RS hood but I had stripes painted on. I went for a cross between sleeper and classic. Don't put the stickers back on the doors. I like it without the body moulding but that's just my opinion.

The stripes are just a straight silver. I didn't get crazy with any pearl or chameleon type paints.

I'm really starting the like the "stealth" look of the California IROC. I think a cowl induction hood would make that car look absolutely evil....maybe takes away from the sleeper look a bit, but I don't know, it just seems like it would suit the car well.

I'm still torn with which way to go on my own IROC. I've got a fiberglass SS hood that came on a parts car I bought, and I'm going to take it to the body shop and have it fixed and primed and install in on my car to see how I like it....

I mocked up a high rise 91-92 spoiler on the back of my IROC, and it somehow just didn't look right... TO ME.

I might have to get a good pic from the right angle and have a photoshop guru take the IROC's rear spoiler and add a flat hood to see how it would look... hmm...
