Tint Q--Does the rear hatch have to be....

removed when being tinted??? Or do most shops install the tint with the glass still on the car??

Mine was tinted with the hatch window on. Be a waste of time to take it off anyways.

No the tint wont come off as far as i know. I have had mine on for 4 years and I use the rear defrosters without any problems. But i guess it depends how the work is done too. Hope this helps

mine was done with the hatch on.....he also did it in one piece ive had mine about 4 years also and still looks good no problems

both of mine done with rear defroster on and no damage to defroster

Ditto, defroster works fine and he did it with hatch on. If you plan on having your window(s) tinted, be sure the shop uses 3M tint and make sure they back their work with a lifetime warranty.

... Or because the guy before you used cheap tint and it turned purple... or because you stored crap in your hatch that was too tall and scraped up the tint (both of these apply in my case)
