I have blue metallic 89' IROC and need to know where I cant get the paint code

 

If you have the original SPID sheet, you can look on there on the very bottom of it. I believe that is your factory color.

 

i got this code out of the middle compartment

when i was looking in a paint book i found, Bright Blue Metallic

but the code was 28c

so i'm lost

 

The L9561 means Lower body paint color is 9591 (bright blue metallic). The O9531 is actually a U9591, meaning the upper body color is 9591 (bright blue metallic). The 82C is the interior, and 82C is the medium dark gray interior.

You will need to look for a code such as 81U (bright red - my car)....usually located in the bottom row of codes near the right side. You can see my paint code in the bottom right of the SPID sheet below, it's 81U. I believe this is the code that paint shops go by, but don't quote me on that.

Check your SPID sheet again and then use this site's RPO decoder to find which code it is.
