Hood insulation

Got the new hood insulation today, it really made a difference in apperance when you open the hood. The old one almost fell in pieces.

So where could I find that for a ta in the US? I would take my insulation off but its a daily driver and eventually heat would hurt the paint. Plus theirs some rust under there.

I have had no problems with that. I believe the insulation is under the hood for colder climates. It helps heat up the engine quicker by insulationg the heat under the hood. The heat coming up from the engine is not hot enough to do any damage. I live in So Cal so the hood getting really hot is a daily occurence and that's not because of the engine but because of the 90 degree sun.

You should be able to find it at your local GM dealer. The one i got last week is GM original.

I think the hood looks better with insulation than without.
