UPS brought my new rims today

17x9 fourth gen WS6 wheels. After seeing the old pics of Zepher's car I had to have em. Now if I could just afford tires. Yikes!

Those will look awesome! I agree that after seeing Zepher's car with those wheels, I also think they look great. Slap some Eagle F1's on those wheels and you'll be set to go.

9D1: a lady I work with has a son that manages a Discount Tire store, so I'm gonna try to get a hook-up. If not, I'll probably go through Tire Rack.

I just posted a thread about the handles, as you were the second person to ask about them.

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=183704

Nolan: I was joking about no $ for tires- although I am going to have to sell my current rims/tires to fund the new tires. I could use the existing tires (they've only got 1500 miles on them) but I want to go bigger. They're 255/40/ZR17 & I want 275/40's.

WillWood: What did you pay for your wheels? I bought these on eBay last week. They are from a 1-owner 97 T/A. He took them off the car when it had under 2000 mi. to put custom rims on-- and they are MINT. They came with centers, all the factory lugnuts with the plastic trim caps and the GM wheel locks and key. Shipped to my door for $ 515.00. I didn't think that was bad at all.

Excellent choice!!! You should check out my site in the sig for an idea of what they'll look like mounted up!! I got lucky and found the polished 17"s for cheap (well, cheap enough!). And I know what you're talking about when you talk of expensive tires.........I was forced (financially) to drop a size(275/40 down to 255/40).

I'm working on getting some better pics up, I just had it painted about a month ago (same color) and it looks sooooo much better now. Once again, good choice on your wheel selection!!! Later!

Joe.

Looks good and you got a nice deal on them for $515 shipped.
Most people want $600 for the wheels + shipping.
Can't beat my price though, $225 for a mint set.

Oh, and for tires, I would save up and get the BFG G-Force T/A KDW 275/40/17 tires. Awesome tires,

If you didn't have them before, you know you will now need 2" spacers. Very nice wheels by the way. I was looking at them before I got mine.

SLOWFIVEOH: you've got mail.

87GTA: I bought a pair of 2" adapters and I've got a lead on a 4th gen rearend. Thanks for the heads-up though.

And thanks to all who dig the wheels as much as I do.
